CHAPTER SIXTEEN: THE TRUTH _______________________
Madam Pomfrey insisted on keeping Harry in the hospital wing for the rest of the weekend. Which meant that Annalise had to help him with assignments, such as the two rolls of parchment on werewolf. With that Annalise and Hermione began to work on theirs in the library.
"I still can't believe Professor Snape assigned us this assignment in such a short amount of time and we still have loads of homework for other classes." Said Hermione reading a book on one of the desks.
"I think I might drop Muggle Studies, I mean I don't even know why I took the class. I lived in the muggle world for a few months. I mean come on the last essay we had was about why muggles need technology is similar to asking why wizards and witches need a wand. It's ridiculous." Complained Annalise searching for a book but coming across a journal. "What's this?" She told herself as Annalise took out the journal and walked over to the table where Hermione was doing her work.
"Whose does it belong to?" Asked Hermione looking at the journal
"I don't know..." Annalise opened the journal to see who it belonged to. "It belonged to my father..." She said in shock looking at Hermione.
"What? That can't be! Why would his journal be here in Hogwarts Library." Hermione grabbed the journal to see for herself. "I have been doing to this library practically read each book here, and never came across with this."
"I have no idea but look" Annalise pointed to the first page that said, Property of James Potter. "It looks like he was exchanging it with other students because there is different handwriting on each page." She began to flip over the pages.
"You should turn it into a Professor"
"No, I am going to keep it."
"You can't keep it Anna. It's school property," argued Hermione.
"Technically is my father's property, it never belonged to the school it just so happens to be here in the library." Said Annalise closing the journal placing it inside her book bag and going back looking for a book for her essay. Hermione stayed quiet as it was useless to reason with Annalise.
While Hermione and Annalise were working on their assignments, Annalise kept thinking about the journal and not focusing much on the assignments.
"Are you two almost done?" Ron asked as he walked over to the girls alongside Neville, Sean, and Dean.
"I am," Annalise said packing up her things as Hermione was writing her last sentence.
"Who's at the Hospital Wing?" Hermione asked as she packed up.
"The Gryffindor team, I believe Wood is talking with Harry again." Neville replied as they all made their way out the library.
"Great match yesterday Alise!" A sixth year slytherin student said as the group passed by them, Annalise just flashed a small smiled and made her way to be next to Ron and Hermione.
