CHAPTER NINE: FIRST DAY OF CLASS ____________________
It was the first day of class, Annalise was pacing around the bathroom she shared with three other girls, Astoria Greengrass, Daphne Greengrass, and Pansy Parkinson. She was nervous for many reasons from being the first day of class to her being the new girl at school.
"Alise, are you almost done? I need to use the bathroom," Pansy said leaning on the door.
"I will be out in a second," Annalise said looking at herself in the mirror and taking a deep breath. "You got this, everything will be fine." She told herself before opening the door.
"Is everything alright?" Pansy asked as she noticed how nervous Annalise was.
"Yeah, is just that I'm a bit nervous for the first day of class that's all," she said going to her side of the room.
"Everything will be alright," Astoria said as she finished brushing her hair.
"Don't give much attention to her, that is what she is asking for," Daphne said coming into the bedroom.
"Daphne!" Astoria said to his sister giving her a look.
"What? I mean come on, why would she join Hogwarts as a third year and not as a first year when she was eleven? She is asking for attention." Daphne said looking at Annalise, as she just ignored her.
"Daphne, out now," Astoria said pointing towards the door. "I need to speak to you."
"Whatever, good luck Annalise," Daphne said grabbing her school bag from her bed and heading out the room with her sister behind her.
"Ignore her, she will eventually get used to you. I promise." Pansy said before going inside the bathroom.
Annalise gave her a soft smile and lay down in her bed looking at the inside of her canopy bed. Which had drawing and writing from previous students. After a few minutes, Annalise got up from bed grabbed her textbook put them all inside her school bag, and left to the Great Hall.
Everyone was sitting at the same table as the house they were sorted into, some older students were running towards their group of friends and other new students were a bit shy to make conversation. Shortly after she walked in Harry, Ron, and Hermione entered the Great Hall. The trio were having their conversation heading towards where Ginny and the twins were sitting while Annalise was sitting at her table alone.
She wanted to sit with them but didn't know how the trio would feel about Annalise sitting with them, as Annalise was lost in thought she heard laughter. She turned to see Draco who seemed to be entertaining a large group of Slytherins she met the night before.
