Amelia

"Hey Em! What do you think about this one?" I turn around facing Emily holding up a dark green knitted sweater.

"That's really nice, you have to try it." She smiled excitedly.

It was turning to autumn, september was just around the corner and that would mean I've been working at the BAU for almost six months soon. I was acutely quite shocked at how close me and most of team had gotten over a smilingly short period of time.

By most of the team. I mean everyone except for Hotch. Almost two months had passed since Hotch and I had that conversation in my hotel room. I kept my end of the promise and he's kept his so far. We didn't talk much outside of work. Only the occasional hello when we bumped into each other in the hallway, but other than that that we didn't see each other outside of work. Not even as friends or colleagues. At work it was fine until we were alone. Sometimes it felt like you could cut the tension with a knife, but neither of us had the courage to say anything.

"So, Amelia any one new? I mean it's been what? Almost half a year since you and the person who name we don't speak split up." Emily said as we walked to the changing rooms.

I laugh a little at her attempt not to bring up Liam. "No, not even a hookup. I've lost my game." I sighed.

"That I do not believe. If something you've gotten pickier. And that's a good thing." She said with a slight laugh.

"Alright maybe. But to my defense it's harder to pick someone up when sober." I glanced over to her.

"Touché"

I started limiting my drinking sometime after Salt Lake City. And by limiting I mean almost completely quit, I've probably had once glass wine since then. I refused to have another girls night situation. Also I realized it would ultimately start to effect my work performance and I was lucky enough to have gotten this job in the first place so I couldn't let anything ruin it for me. Emily, JJ and Penelope helped me through it a lot, they also told me to talk to Spencer saying he had a similar issue a few years back without going into detail. He really helped and even offered to show me some different AA meetings.

Emily and I try on the clothes we picked out. Laugh at the ones that have a weird fit, gasping at each other when the clothes look good. I end up being done before Emily, so I hang up the items I'm not going to get. Which is most of them. Once she's done we go to pay.

"Hey follow me. I know where we should go next" Emily says with a slight smirk on her face as we exit the store.

We walk down further into the mall, ending up outside a shop that has a sign up front saying '18+ adults only'.

"Are we seriously going to a sex shop?" I ask a small frown on my face.

"Come on. If we can't find you a guy, we can find you a substitute for the only good part of a guy." She shoots me a wink.

"Yeah, because you would know." I chuckle sarcastically.

"Hey" She looks at me with a fake offended expression. "You know I've not only been with women. And have you never heard of a strap on." She smiles proudly as she drags me into the shop by my wrist.

"Okay, tmi Em" I chuckle.

"Maybe" She shrugs. "Just have look around. It'll be fun"  She tries to persuade.

"Fine." I sighed. Emily let's go of my wrist and makes her way further into the shop leaving me alone to looking around.

I look at the shelves at the different items, at the same time walking slowly down the small aisle. I crouch down looking at a few vibrators. I stand up after picking up one.
