Amelia
My eyes flutter open from sleep and I feel a presence looking at me. "Good morning beautiful."
"Hush." I glare up at Aaron before put my hand over his mouth.
He removed my hand from his lips and pressed a soft kiss on top of it. "Did you sleep well?"
"I did." I groaned. "But if you want me to stay over again we need to set some rules?"
He huffed a soft laugh as I snuggled into him. "And what exactly did you have in mind?"
"No talking before coffee." I open my eyes fully to look up at him completely serious.
"Mhm it's that so." He said with a smile and reached for something on his bedside table.
The smell of coffee filled my nostrils as he handed me a cup. I sat up against the headboard and took a sip. I noticed files stacked on his dresser and a few on his bedside table too. "How did you sleep?" I asked and he noticed me eyeing the paperwork.
"Not great." He put his arm around my shoulder and kissed the top of my head.
"You mister." I said poking him in his side. "You need to stop worrying. The team will be fine without you for one day."
"Us, fine without us." He hummed as his fingers traced up and down my upper arm. "But the team is short three people."
"And they will be okay. Besides if they need our help they can always call."
Aaron and I left the team last night in Seattle on a case we got called into last week. Erin had ordered us to leave the night before we had to teach so we would be 'well rested' in her own words. Apparently she did not know Aaron well enough, or she just hoped he would relax enough before our class.
JJ gave birth to adorable baby Henry just after midnight ten days ago and of course went directly into her maternity leave. So for that time the team had been short one person. Then we left after just under a week in Seattle without any leads. I could definitely see why Aaron was so stressed. His strength in this line of work was definitely how much he cares about people, but it was also his weakness. Since we started dating, I saw him in a different light than before. I can see how it tears him into pieces every time we find a new victim. So it killed him to leave the team if it was just for a day or so.
"You know." I drawl on and bend over him torso to put my coffee cup on the table. "Now would be a perfect time to finish what we started on our play date." I drag my hand from his shoulder down to where his t-shirt meets his pyjama pants and slid in my hand to grace over his v-line and lower abdomen.
"We have to leave in an hour." He said, but he doesn't move.
I straddle his lap and pulls his shirt up revealing his toned chest. "And. That's. Plenty. Of. Time." I murmured in between the kissed I placed on his chest, moving my way down.
"Amelia." He pulls me up to his level so we're eye to eye. "It's not. Not with what I want to do to you."
I gulped at his scents, but regrouped quickly. "At this pace I don't think we'll ever have sex." I groaned then pouted my bottom lip.
"I've waited for almost a year to do this. It can wait a few more days." He confessed, pushing some of my hair behind my ear and pulled me into him by my chin. My stomach filled up with butterflies before ur lips connected softly. I could taste his bitter coffee on his lips. Our mouth's moved slowly against each other's. Not in any hurry to explore, his tongue asked for access and was granted it quickly.
We held the same soft pace for a minute before pulling apart. "You have to get off me before I make us late." He almost whispered like it pained him to actually say the words out loud.
