Chapter 15-G

I woke up early this morning , said my prayers and got in the shower. I did my morning routine and headed downstairs to grab my keys. Jrue's appointment was at 10 am and we both was so excited. I shut the door behind me and locked it. Climbing in my car I notice a note in the door that read " you can't hide forever". Sheena must be out her mind if she thinks I'm giving her another chance. I'm real close to calling a psych ward on her ass.

I pulled out my drive way and parked in Jrue's driveway. I got out and opened the door with the key she gave me for emergencies. "Jay... are you ready, we gone be late" I yelled. I heard her galloping down the stairs. I stared at her. She had this glow about her. She was more beautiful than ever especially since she's carrying my child. "G please quit staring at me like that. That's why I'm pregnant now" she said while chewing on an apple she got out her pantry. I chuckled "chill out man" I said opening the door so we could head out.

The ride to the doctor's office was quiet. I asked her if she wanted to stop and get food but she said she would eat after. Of course she wanted to eat at Lux because she claim it's her favorite spot but I know it's because she gets her food free.

Pulling in the doctor's office I parked and got out to open her door. We both was nervous as we walked in. She signed in and we sat down to wait until they called her name. "Jrue Walker" the nurse said as Jrue looked at me and asked was I ready. I was beyond ready.

Jrue had to pee in a cup and after we had to wait for the doctor to come in. I could tell Jrue had got tired and sleepy just that fast and I had become impatient. Just as I was about to talk shit a knock came to the door. "Hey Jrue how are you? I'm Dr. Butler and I'll be handling all your needs today" the Dr said.

"Hey" we both said at the same time. " well congratulations mama you are about 9 weeks along, you wanna see your baby?" I could tell Jrue was ready to cry. Soon enough there it was, our baby on the screen with a strong steady heartbeat. I slick wanted to cry. Jrue grabbed my hand as we both was speechless. Who knew a drunken night would lead to this. My happiness. I wanted to kiss her so damn bad but I did not want her to reject me.

As soon as I saw that baby I wanted Jrue and the baby to have the whole world and if I could help it they would. If she wanted stress free I was gonna give her just that. " ok mama anything else you need" Dr. Butler questioned. Jrue shook her head No and we was out of the office sonograms in hand.

"You ready to eat mama" I asked her knowing that she would not turn down food. She side-eyed me and I started laughing. Pregnant or not this girl know she can damn eat and I was gone feed her every chance I got. "Let me take you out Jrue. We barely got to know each other and I kinda wanna see where this leads. Don't you want to know if we would work out relationship wise?" I asked her hoping she'd say yes.

"I don't know G, you're still dealing with your past. I don't know I just don't want to be hurt or get my hopes up thinking we're gonna be a family and we don't. But if I let you take me out we can't rush into anything. We gotta go real slow" she said. And that's all I needed. That lil assurance gave me everything I needed.

"So Saturday night? We can come to Lux if tha-" "Deal" she said cutting me off before I could even finish my sentence. This girl a mess.
