Chapter 28-Jrue

It was Saturday afternoon and I wasn't gonna let what happened earlier this week ruin my weekend. I didn't have plans but I had planned to relax and be stress free. I hadn't heard from Meg about a gender reveal party but I put it off as her being busy with Markell. I definitely was gonna hit her up later today though.

There was a knock at the door and when I opened it a man stood there with pink and blue flowers. "Are you Miss Walker" he asked and I nodded my head. "These are for you" he said as he handed me the flowers and then turnt around and left. I read the card and I knew they were from G. "Go upstairs and take a shower, please be ready in an hour. I got a surprise for you and you will see, get ready to shop everything on me - love G"

I laughed a little, Gionni was corny as hell sometimes. I had already taken a shower so I took time to find something cute and comfortable to shop in. It was a couple of weeks before Christmas so I was gonna get some Christmas shopping out the way. I called Meg to see if she wanted to come but she didn't answer my call.

I heard a horn outside so I walked out to Markell waiting on me. "Damn girl you slow, come on here with my niece or nephew" he said. I laughed because this man was so funny. We pulled up to the mall and got out. I just knew Markell was going to complain the whole time but oh well. We stayed in the mall for a few hours. Markell had his hands full with everything I had bought including his gifts and he had no idea. "Yo let's go into Tiffany's real quick" Markell said and I followed behind him.

Everything in here was so nice. I was staring at this diamond tennis bracelet. It was beautiful and because I had bought so much stuff today I was gonna come back and get it later. "You like that one" Markell asked me. I looked at it again" I mean yeah it's beautiful" I said not taking my eyes off of it. " we'll take that one" Markell said. I looked at him crazy because like I said Christmas was around the damn corner. " Markell are you crazy, I just know you done bumped yo head or something" I said still tryna figure out why would he do that.

He laughed " don't ask me for shit else" he said and we both started laughing. We walked out the mall and got in his truck. There was another bouquet of flowers sitting and the seat and Markell smiled like he knew something I didn't. "Be ready at 8 and don't be late -Meg" . Now I was really confused because what the heck is going on.

Markell dropped me off and I decided to take a nap to pass time by. It was now going on 7 so I decided to get up shower and get myself together for this little date Meg threw together. I was ready at 7:55. Meg walked in the house yelling my name all crazy and loud.

"Girl you do not have to do all that, I am on time" I said rolling my eyes. " bitch you look good, you ready to go?" She said as we headed towards the door. We drove around for a while before we ended up at this empty lot.  "You finna kill me ain't it" I said and she laughed. " Nawl girl bring yo scary ass on" she said as we both got out the car. I noticed lit candles and pink flower pedals line up down the walk way. I smiled. This was cute and nice. Walking inside I could see a long dinner table with G's mom, Markell, and some more of G's homies along with my girls from the shop. "What's going on" I asked and Meg just smiled.

And then I smelled him! And I knew he was looking just as good as he smelled before I even seen him. "Hey beautiful" he said and I blushed. We sat down at the table getting into some small talk and enjoying the food that was being brought out. "Excuse me everyone, I have a small announcement to make" G said while I sat there nervous. " I wanna thank everyone for coming tonight. I especially wanna thank my sis Meg for setting this all up. But we all came here for one reason and one reason only."  The lights dimmed down low and a projector came on projecting images of us on the wall. There was us at the club the night we got drunk and I got pregnant, to pictures of my sonograms and me being pregnant. More pics of me eating and some of me sleeping. A lot of pictures of me smiling and before I knew it I was crying. A picture of me and G as he held me while I slept. Lord these hormones had me on 10. And then I seen it "I can't wait to meet our baby girl" displayed on the wall. And pink confetti rained down from the ceiling and everyone yelled congratulations as G pulled out a miniature tennis bracelet like the one I got from Tiffany's for our baby girl.

I was speechless and crying and I knew I looked a mess but I didn't care. I was so happy. I was getting someone that I could love unconditionally, I was getting someone who I could help steer on the right path. I was getting a baby girl and I was blessed. I hugged G and he pecked my lips. "We're having a baby girl, my first born is a baby girl" he said and that's when I noticed he was crying too. He genuinely needed this more than me.

"Wait first born?" I questioned and he nodded and pulled out his dna papers to show me. I just broke down again. It was an emotional night and I was so blessed to have the support system I had and even though I wanted my mom here with me I was still blessed for the family I had.
