I promise, Kyou-Chan. I'll be stronger, so I can be like you and protect the propel who needed our protection. Just like you did. You'll always be in my heart... no matter what.

Y/N P.O.V

I take a deep breath, gently wiping the tears from my cheeks. I closes the door of my room. I turn around and make my way out of the headquarter. I want to visit Senjuro before leaving for the mission.

I notice Sanemi waiting for me outside as soon as I walk outdoor. He smiles softly at the sight of me. "Ah Sanemi-San... you're waiting for me?" I said. He nods his head at what I said. "I'm going to visit Senjuro before leaving for this mission. Do you mind?" I said, while tilting my head a little.

"Not at all. I'll accompany you there" he said. I just nod my head at what he said. He smiles and offers his hand. I stare at it, not knowing what to do. He notice my reaction and lowers his hand. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable" he said. I just give him a small smile. The two of us make our way towards Flame Estate.

A While Later

"Y/N-Nee!!" I hear Senjuro screaming out for me. I smile softly at him as he rushes towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrap my arms around him and place my head on his head, gently ruffling his soft hair.

"Are you going somewhere, Nee-San?" He asked after pulling away from me. He must've noticed that I'm fully dressed. I smile and nod my head. "Where to? Would be dangerous?" He asked, staring at me with a worried gaze.

"I'm not sure, Senjuro" I said, giving him a small smile. He just look down at what I said. I place my hand on the side of his cheek, turning his head to look at me. "I'm not going on this mission alone. He's coming with me" I said, pointing at Sanemi-San who's standing not far behind me.

He turn his head to look at Sanemi-San. He walks up to him and bows. "Please take care of Nee-San for me! Make sure she's going to be okay. She's a precious older sister to me, Shinazugawa-San! After all, she's the woman my Ani-Ue love" he said.

"I'll make sure she'll be safe. I won't let her be in danger. I'll be there to protect her" Sanemi-San said, turning his head to look at me. Senjuro smiles at what he said. He turn to me and runs over, wrapping his arms around me.

"Please be careful... wherever you're heading. If you face a Twelve Kizuki. Don't fight and run away" he said. He pulls away to look at me. I notice there are tears in his eyes. "Whatever you do... please don't die. Don't leave me like my brother did..." he said. His voice cracks a little as he mentions his brother. My chest tightens at the thought of Kyou-Chan.

"I will try my best to come back safely, alright? I'll make sure you'd be the first person I visit once I return from this mission, okay?" I said. He nods his head at what I said. I ruffle his hair softly as he leans against my chest. I place a soft kiss on top of his head.

He hesitantly removes his arms from my waist. He backs away and smiles weakly at me. I smile softly at him and gently pat his head, trying my best to comfort him that I will be okay. But I can't blame him for worrying about me. After all, he did lost his brother during a mission.

"I'll be going now, okay? Wish me luck..." I said. He just nods his head at what I said. I remove my hand from his head, letting it fall on my side. "Take care, Senjuro..." I said. He smiles at me. I turn around and walk towards Sanemi-San who's waiting patiently for me.

"Ready to go now?" He asked. I give him a small smile and nod my head. I turn to look at Senjuro who stares at me. I smile softly at him and lift my hand, waving at him. He respond the gesture with a sad smile on his face. I turn around and walks away with Sanemi-San.

It's been about an hour that Sanemi-San and I have been walking. Neither of us said a word to each other. But the silence isn't awkward. It's actually peaceful. But I do feel his gaze on me every now and then. I didn't look back at him because I don't want to make him feel awkward. So I just keep my gaze forward.

"I wonder how much longer it'll take for us to reach that village" I said, deciding to break the silence. I finally turn my gaze to look at Sanemi-San. He blinks his eyes and turn his gaze forward.

"I'm not sure... but the sun is up high. We should take a short break and continue our journey again. We don't know what to expect when we reach there. It'll be best to make sure we're in our best shape" he said. I nod my head in agreement to his suggestion. He's right, we never know what we'd up against. If we're exhausted, it would be bad for us. We'd be in a disadvantage if we ended up facing a strong demon right off the bat.

We walk under a tree and take a seat. I stare at the sky in silent, watching the cloud drifted by. My body is still affected by the lack of sleep I've been having the passed few days. So, I feel tired right now.

"If you want to sleep... just sleep. I'll wake you up later" Sanemi said. I turn my head to look at him. He just smiles softly at me. "Go ahead, Y/N... sleep" he said. I give him a small smile.

I yawn softly while covering my mouth. I slowly closes my eyes, leaning my head back against the tree. Just as I'm about to fall asleep, I feel a hand on the side of my head. The hand gently guide me to rest my head on a more comfortable place than the tree.

Sanemi P.O.V

I place my head on the side of Y/N head, gently pulling her closer to rest her head on my shoulder. A soft smile appear on her face as she seem more comfortable. The sight of her smile makes my heart flutter.

She's still in pain after losing her fiancé. She'd need more time to accept, and even more time to open her heart for me. But I will wait for her. No matter how long it's going to take, because I love her so much.

I gently brush a strand piece of her hair behind her ear. I watch as she sleeps peacefully. I lick my lips and gently place my lips against her forehead. She moves slightly, making me flinch. I hold my breath as I try to stay as still as possible.

She only snuggled closer, making me let out a sigh of relief when she's still asleep. I smile softly as I rest my head on top of hers. I close my eyes as I inhale. Her sweet scent entering my nose, making me feel relax.

I may acted rude and aggressive towards others. But I can't act that way to Y/N. I've always felt calm around her. That's the effect she have on me. I plan on keeping her the only one to know this side of me. My soft side will only be for Y/N and no one else.

I glance at her hands which is rested on her lap. I bit my lips and slowly reach over, gently grabbing her hand and move it to rest on my lap. I smile softly as she still asleep. I will savor this moment for as long as I live, because Y/N is precious to me.
