Why date a white guy?

A/N: Because this question gets asked everything a black girl even mentions thinking about dating a white guy. Carry on.

Harry: 

You and your friend Karlie were out shopping. You haven't really been talking to her since you started dating Harry because she was against you dating him. She believed that black people should only date black people. While you guys were shopping she started pointing out guys. They were cute and everything but you had a boyfriend. Eventually she asked, "Why are you dating a white guy? Like yea he's rich and everything but-" "Hold up. Let me stop you right there. I'm dating him because I care about him. Not because of money. Maybe that's how roll but that's not me. He's a kind, responsible, smart person. That should matter. Not the color of his skin." You reminded her. Karlie rolled her eyes. "I still think you're stupid for dating him." "Maybe I am but you don't control me. Have a nice time finding a ride back home." You waved while walking off.

Louis:

"Hey Grandad." You greeted as you ssat down next to him. Your grandad was put in a nursing recently and didn't really like it. "Hi Sweetie. How you doing?" He questioned. You smiled. "I'm doing fine. Got a promotion at my job." "That's great. You still dating that Klansman?" You frowned at him. "Grandad not every white person is part of the Klan. Like how every black person isn't a thug." You tried to convince him. "Not the same." "That's not fair. My brother is married to a white girl. How come he doesn't get ridiculed for that?" You questioned. Grandad shook his head. "Not the same." You got up from where you were sitting. "Grandad once you realize that I'm happy, that would be much better." He rolled his eyes. "Once you realize that you're wrong, I'll be happy." He stated. " Good luck with that. I wish you the best Grandad." You told him. "And to you Y/N."

Zayn: (Technically he's not white. So I made it different.)

You were scrolling through your timeline on Instagram and a comment caught your eye on a picture you posted of you and Zayn. "Hey Y/N, how does it feel to be dating a terrorist?" Normally, you wouldn't respond to rude comments but today you decided, "What the hell?" So you responded, "Terrorism: the acct of violence intended to create fear or terror used for religious, economic, polticial, or ideological "goals" and which the perpetrator disregard the safety of others. The goes from serial killers, arsonists, bombers, etc. Zayn isn't part of that group so don't say shit you don't know about.

Insecurities will run high in any type of relationship but in this one there was a lot. It was more on Y/C/N's side than it was on yours. Especially in public. He felt that every guy wanted you and that wasn't true. You weren't ugly and you had a strong character so you attracted a lot of people. Didn't mean that you wanted a relationship with them right? That wasn't the scenario playing in Y/C/N's eyes. One day while you guys were talking about something he asked, "Why are you dating a white guy?" You wanted to punch him in the face for such a stupid questio so instead you said, "Because I can and it shouldn't really matter about the color of your skin should it? It matters about your character. That's why you asked me out right? Not because of the color of my skin but for my character." You explained. "Yea. That's right." He stated. You kissed him on the cheek. "Now don't question why I'm dating you again please. I already get it enough from a lot of people." You reminded Y/C/N. He nodded in agreement.
