Niall:
His POV
As my service dog led me through the crowd, I could feel the stares on me. I patted my pants for my sunglasses and found them. You don't have to see people in order to know the look on their face. It was the look of pity. That some people see my blindness as a weakness. But there's more than the blindness. What cause it also makes people pity. There's scars around my eyes that just totally wipe people's minds when they see them. I've learned that you don't need people to provide the happiness you want. Though it helps to have people smile at you every once in a while. Plus the feeling make you feel better. My dog makes me happy, so does reading my books, my friends, and listening to music. But there are days when I wish that I could see so that I could for once make a stranger feeling happiness when they first look at me and not sadness.
When I arrive at the store, the greeter close to the entrance said, "Sir, no pets-" Then she stopped. Stupid. I pushed my sunglasses up as waited for her to find something to say. Cooper, my dog, kept tugging so I could walk to get a basket. "I, um...." She couldn't the words to say something. I shook my head and went on. No matter how many times I've been here it seems that this girl always forgets that I actually can't see and need the dog. Like who brings their pets to the store for fun? Cooper led me to the baskets first and then to the aisle I need. He knows exactly which items I like to eat, which is sort of weird in a sense but it helps. Better than asking an ignorant employee for help.
While pulling me through another isle, Cooper did something totally unusual. As I picked up the food, he pulled himself out of my grip and ran off. "Really?" I said. Why would he do that? With the basket still in hand, I slowly paced myself up the aisle. When I could tell it was the end, I waited a moment. When I took a step forward, someone bumped into me, causing me to drop my basket. "Ow." I whined. "Oh my lord, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hit you I wasn't paying any attention. I'm stupid." The girl babbled. "It's OK." I told her. I heard her walk closer to me. "Here." She said. Confused, I asked, "What is it?" She paused before she spoke. "The sunglasses you were wearing fell when I bumped into you. "Oh." I mumbled. A few seconds later, I felt them back on my face. "You have very beautiful eyes by the way." The girl commented. Stunned, I really couldn't say something back. Instead I asked, "Can you help me?" "It depends on what you need." The girl told me. "My service dog ran away from me and I kind of need him it get around. He's a black lab." "I saw him right before I bumped you. I think he went to the pet aisle. He's adorable." I laughed. The girl grabbed my wrist and said, "I'll take you there of course. Oh by the way my name is Y/N." "Um, Niall ." I could tell when we were in the pet aisle when I heard a dog toy noise. Y/N let go of my wrist. Cooper?" I called. The bells on his collar jingled when he heard me. I felt my dog by my side a moment later. He licked my hand and out the leash in there. "Thank you Y/N." "Welcome." I could hear her start to walk away so I asked stupidly, "Do you like dinner?" She stopped. "I mean I eat it from time to time-" "Stupid question, sorry. Would you like to go to a dinner party at my place. This coming Friday." "Like a date?" "I mean it doesn't have to be-" "I'll go. Just tell me where." "You know the Lionsgate neighborhood?" "You live there?!" She sounded shocked. "Um, yes." I mumbled. "Sorry, I thought...never mind, what time do you want me to be there?" Y/N asked. "7:30 if you would like to." I felt a hand touch my shoulder "I'll be there. Thanks for inviting me." She walked off. I smiled as I let Cooper lead.
Y/N POV
That guy was so adorable and sweet. He's the first truly Irish person I've met, also the first blind person I've met. But there's something off about him. Maybe because he lives in Lionsgate. Those houses are huge but I haven't heard good stories about the people living there. Most are rumor but most seem real. Like there was this one about how maids were getting murdered in one of the houses. There was one about how a business man has stripper parties and how he rapes some of the strippers. Another one is about this father how he abused his son really bad for years until one day they both fell off the face of the Earth. Maybe I should look into Niall's background a little. As soft as he seemed, you can never be too sure.
A/N: I wrote too much so I decided I was I'm gonna make it an imagine.
