Introduction to Old Tides

As I said in the description of the book, this will be my first reader insert story. I am not caught up with current Honkai Star Rail lore. BUT~ I am playing it again and will be updating the story accordingly. I would LIKE to keep it as close to the original lore if possible. Updates will not be on any certain schedule. But since I am very interested in the story, I had no doubt that I will want to keep writing this story. Blade is so fascinating to me, and the Imbibitor Lunae as well.

(Yes I am a Dan Heng fan. Yes, I did only return because of his new character banner. So what?)

In this story, YOU are a Vidyadhara. A humanoid long-life species with draconic features who are descendants of Long, the deceased Aeon of Permanence. They are primarily found within the Xianzhou Alliance.

Your features have been different from the others for a long time. For how long and as to why? You aren't sure. Because the Vidyadhara reincarnate as a part of their being... You're new reincarnation is not supposed to remember her past selves. Nor the people in them.

Yet you remember... much more than you ever thought. You were considered... the secret sixth member of the High Cloud Quintet. Although you really were just a stand-in for anyone who needed to rest. Regardless, you grew close with the other five. You had close friendships with each member. And maybe even some romantic feelings to some... *cough*

But your life came to a huge change... once you discovered that Dan Feng had committed a grave crime. Providing an immortal life to Yingxing. You couldn't believe it... and yet... The High Council spared Dan Feng's life... and forced him to go through the process of rebirth again, to be reborn as Dan Heng. You heart would ache... your old friend wanted to help Yingxing.

So you committed the second biggest crime in all of the Xianzhou. You freed the Imbibitor Lunae from his chains. And purposely got caught to give him time to escape. Your punishment was to serve in his place. Along the lines... the Ambrosial Arbor was slowly dying. And you were one of the few Vidyadhara who could provide life to it. Until they found a way to restore what once was, you are now... the roots of the Ambrosial Arbor.

You are underwater, chained to the roots which soon would overtake you as you rebirthed. At least you have an ability to breathe underwater... your ties to the water dragons was strong. You've been under there for quite a while... and you were almost as grown as you were in your past life. This is where your story begins...
