Y/N POV

"I knew I was supposed to pick up one delivery, but I didn't know there was going to be extra," you'd hear a woman say as you and Ren entered the starship. He would gently set you down on the seat they had available.

"It was a new addition to Elio's script." Ren answered calmly.

"Ah, so she's who he meant when he said he wanted to recruit someone soon," the grey haired girl walked over to you and held a phone in her hands, typing away as she said. "I'm Silver Wolf. Another member of the Stellaron Hunters. It's nice to make your acquaintance...?" She looked over to you as if asking for your name.

"Y/N," you'd say quietly.

"Y/N," she put her phone away to shake hands and smiled a bit as she looked to your horns. "Those are new... I've never seen a Vidyadhara like you before. Why do your horns look like that?"

You'd gently touch your white horns, as you were about to answer, Ren chimed in with a bit of a warning glare. "Silver Wolf, may I have a moment with Y/N? There's a lot I need to speak with her about. You can get all of your curiosity out later." The way he said it left no room for her to argue as she frowned slightly.

"Fine," she said as she placed her hand on her hip. Silver Wolf would flip her phone out before blowing a bubble from her gum. "I was just about to look more into Herta's stuff anyway." And just like that she disappeared into giant pixels before they would dissipate too.

You'd blink in surprise but your eyes slowly landed back to Ren now. "I have... a lot of questions." You'd say quietly.

"Me too," he returned the statement as he faced you. His broad shoulders now blocking the lights behind him as he would walk over to you and looked you over carefully. "Like why in the hell you got yourself in that position to begin with."

It caught you off guard when he said that, as you can tell he was examining your legs and your back. A wince would come from you when he'd touch your back and you inhaled through your teeth sharply.

"The damage from the Arbor's roots have taken a hold of you..." Ren said in his deep voice as he now looked at you with a slight glare, as he seemed like he was about to scold you. "All of this just for him?" His voice was low and threatening. There was a glint in his eye that was almost murderous. Although he didn't show any physical signs that he would do anything of the sort to you.

"I wish I could remember."  You mumbled with a sigh. "When I had rehatched in the Shackling Prison... they did tell me that I committed the grave crime of setting free the number one enemy of the Luofu. Inbibitor Lunae... Dan Feng." The name resonated inside of you, although you didn't know why. Even your face looked pensive as you said it.

"Then it's true," Ren closed his eyes with a slow inhale. "Do you truly not remember?"

"No. I don't remember freeing him. Although I barely remember his face." You said as your eyes looked over Ren's face. "I don't remember why I did it. You think I haven't been dying to know these past few hundred years?" You'd ask as your throat went dry. "To understand the reason for the pain I went through?"
