"Come on Bolin, catch up. Asami and Mako are waiting for us at the entrance." a 10 year old girl with light brown skin, blue eyes and long brown hair tied up in wolf tails wearing a blue striped shirt and khakis with brown boots holding a red guitar was calling to a 9 year old boy with light skin, green eyes and black hair nicely slicked back with a hair piece dangling in the front wearing a green shirt and black pants with black shoes holding a red ferret plushie.

"I'm coming korra let's go." Bolin said as he ran past her and made his way to the entrance of their small city that they live in as they met up with their other two friends. "Sorry we took so long." Korra said to Asami, a 11 year old girl with pale skin and green eyes with black hair wearing a burgundy shirt and dark red skirt with black flats also holding a toy sword. "It's fine Korra." Mako, a boy the same age as Asami had light skin, brown eyes and dark hair spiked wearing a gray shirt with a red vest and black pants and shoes holding a toy sword said.

"Also as if we wouldn't leave you guys, we're a team." Asami said. "Yeah we stick together and remember our motto." Bolin said, raising his plushie. "No retreat." Mako said, raising his sword as did Asami. "No surrender." Korra said, raising her guitar as they all ran back to Republic city, a small city that is celebrating Remembrance Day, a day that is dedicated to celebrating and honoring the loved ones of people who have passed away.

The group then found a quiet area to hangout and talk with each other as they passed many people who were talking and celebrating the day. What Korra,Asami,Bolin and Mako didn't realize is that the god of the land of forgotten Vaatu and the goddess of the land of remembrance Raava were watching the whole small Republic city celebrating and also noticing their friend group.

"Ahh Vaatu look,do you see those four young ones down there?" Raava asked her counterpart who followed her gazed and nodded. "Yes I do. Four friends, two girls and two boys, all best friends no doubt." Vaatu said. "Aww I believe two of them are in love with the same girl." Raava said as they watched Korra tuning her guitar about to play something for Asami when suddenly Mako got in the way as Asami and Bolin were watching their interactions.

"Fear not, my dear princess, your hero has arrived." Mako said. "Is that so?" Asami said, "How dare you interrupt a guitarist." Korra said as played a few chords as Mako smiled before swinging his toy sword at Korra as she was using her guitar to block him before she ended up tricking him into making him spin causing him to fall down as she made her way to Asami as she laughed before Mako bumped into her and pushed her aside as he was smirking at Asami.

Just then Korra got back up and as she and Mako pretended to battle one another. "The girl is mine." Mako said."Never she's mine." Korra said before they were suddenly pushed roughly. As Asami was standing over them, "I belong to no one." Asami said as she left a stunned Bolin,Mako and Korra. "Woah." Mako and Korra said. "Ah I believe we found our next wager which one would gain her hand in marriage." Vaatu said as Raava nodded in agreement before they transferred to an elderly couple. "Wish them luck." Vaatu said as they started walking towards them.

"Wait Asami, weren't you supposed to meet up with your dad?" Bolin asked. "Oh yeah you mentioned how overprotective he is of you. Shouldn't we take you to him." Korra said. "Guys relax, my father is overprotective not like anyone's gonna hurt us right now." Asami said. "Besides he knows a real man is protecting her tonight?" Mako said smugly. "You're not even close." Asami said jokingly. "But I have this sword." Mako said.

"Yeah a toy sword." Bolin said, poking it before all of them started cracking up until two different voices called out. "Korra!" "Asami." Was heard as Korra and Asami turned to Bolin and Mako as they waved goodbye before heading towards their own direction. Korra lightly jogged towards the direction of the voice passing by little memoirs that had a photo of the person and food for them with candles that people created to celebrate their loved ones had passed.

Just then she saw father Tonraq, a man resembling exactly like Korra but his hair went up to his shoulders wearing a dark navy blue suit and tie with swords behind on his back near a memoir that belonged to her mother. "Come Korra." Tonraq said softly as Korra smiled sadly before making her way to her father. "Your mother would've been proud of you." Tonraq said. "You think she's here today?" Korra asked. "Your mother is here. But it's more like a warm feeling you feel." Her father said as Korra was saddened. "I was just hoping I got to see mom one last time. I remember her voice always singing to me. I miss her so much." Korra said.

Tonraq crouched as he comforted his daughter, "Be still Korra your mother is here and so are all our past ancestors that is why we celebrate the day of remembrance to honor them if we don't then all their memories and themselves would be forgotten." Tonraq said to his daughter as Korra closed her eyes and felt a warm feeling on her head and surrounding her and her father.

"I can feel them." Korra said to her father as he softly smiled at her until a voice spoke which caught there attention. "Kind people, can I please have some bread? I am so hungry." The older woman asked Korra smiled as she grabbed a loaf of bread. "I'm sure my mother would've wanted you to have this, besides no one should be hungry on this day. Right dad?" Korra said to her father as she handed it to the women as her father nodded in agreement.

"Thank you sweet girl in return you have my blessing, may your heart always be courageous and pure." The elderly woman said as Korra smiled. "What do you say Korra?" Tonraq said. "Thank you miss, thank you." Korra said as the elder women left, as Tonraq and her stood there remembering their past loved ones.

"Typical Korra always giving stuff away." Mako said, looking at what Korra just did. "Oh come on Mako I'm pretty sure dad would've done the same." Bolin said holding his plushie as they were near the statue that was dedicated to their father who was the greatest protector of Republic city but had lost his life to an evil bandit named Amon.

Just then they heard movement in a dark area. Both Bolin and Mako approached the dark area as Mako shielded his brother about to grab his sword as they approached the dark area just then an old man appeared causing Mako to gasp. "Kind boys, can I have some food? I'm so hungry." The man said as Bolin nodded, grabbed a loaf of bread and was about to give it to him when Mako stopped him.

"Hold it Bolin, you can't give him the bread that's for our father." Mako said, stopping Bolin. This caused the man to stop and think of something. "Perhaps we can settle this in a trade." The man said holding a medal. "A medal?" Bolin asked.

"Not just a medal this gives the user wearing it cannot get hurt or killed." The man said tossing it to Mako who was intrigued. "Really deal, Bolin give him the bread." Mako said as Bolin handed him the bread as the elder man smirked.

"But beware there's a dangerous bandit man out there who would stop at nothing to receive this medal." The man said, causing Bolin and Mako to think. "Bandit man you mean Amon?" Bolin said as he looked around, clinging onto his plushie. "Where did he go?" Bolin asked but Mako shrugged. "Who cares?" Mako said, putting the medal on his shirt. "I don't think it's smart to wear that Mako if Amon comes to find it." Bolin said but Mako cut him off.

"He's not going to. Don't worry about it, little brother. Now come on let's go back to Grandma." Mako said as they left their fathers statue. As the two gods were now watching over the city . "The wager is set." Vaatu said as he and Raava shook hands in agreement as the wager began Mako vs Korra for the hand of Asami.
