Luz's POV
Waking up, everything looked blurry at first. But as I sat there, my vision started to clear and I noticed that I was in the medical room.
'Why was I here? What happened?'
Sitting up, I felt a sharp pain in my side, causing me to slow down and take a breather.
I look down and see that I was bandaged on the left, upper part of my stomach. I tried to recall last night's events, but couldn't.
Rubbing the bridge of my nose, the door opened and in came Vee. Looking up from her clipboard, she gasped. "Luz! You're awake!" She then came over with her stethoscope and placed it on my chest.
"How are you feeling? Do you remember anything? Does it hurt anywhere?" She asked while checking my heart beat, breathing, and whatever else she checked.
"I'm feeling ok. I don't hurt anywhere other then whatever injury I got here." I reply gesturing to the bandaged area. "But I don't remember what happened last night." Looking up at her, she looked concerned.
"OK. Let me go let Eda know you're awake. Willow, Gus, Scarlet, King and Hunter should be home from school soon." She said, fumbling to grab her clipboard, and left the room.
Now confused, I continued to try and remember last night's events. For some reason an image of Amity leaning over me popped in my head.
Feeling the heat rise to my cheeks, I try to shake off the image, now more confused then ever.
Hearing the door open, I look up to see Eda, Hunter, King, Willow, Gus, Scarlet and Vee, who was trying to push through to get to me.
"Luz! We were so worried!" Eda exclaimed while rushing to my side. 'OK, last night had to have been bad if Eda was calling me by my name.' I though.
"Yeah! I though we were going to lose you!" Scarlet said while nearing the side of the bed, a worried and relieved look in her eyes.
Everyone else was now by the end of my bed, looking just as relieved.
Confused I asked, "Ok?...but what exactly happened last night?" Looking from one person to another while rubbing the back of my neck.
Looking shocked, they all looked at each other. "You don't remember?" Willow asked, worry laced in her question.
Shaking my head, ai looked to Eda and Scarlet for an answer. Sighing, Scarlet spoke up. "We made a plan to do a fake mission to catch the double agent last night. Rmember?"
Stopping to think, I tried to remember. I little bit of what the fake mission was appeared in my mind. "I, remember we were in the building we usually do exchanges in. But that's it." I replied while looking back at her.
She glanced towards Eda before continuing. "Well, we found the double agent, and it was Boscha. However, there was a lot more there who ambushed us. If we hadn't had the help of the Cat gang, then we would've lost." Looking down, she started figeting with her fingers.
More slight images of last night started appearing in my head. It all started piecing together until I remembered the tall man who we had encountered on the roof.
"What about the man we saw?" I ask while looking between everyone in the room. "I remember we encountered a man who said he knew our parents. What about him?"
Sighing, Eda spoke up this time. "He was the one who shot you. I don't know who he is, or how he knew your parents, but I'm gonna guess it's not good history between them." Looking at Eda, she looked genuine about not knowing him.
