Ch. 2 Encounter

Luz's POV

After school, Scarlet and I started to run our plan in motion. After lunch, we had met up to make a plan.

We had decided to put together a fake mission and keep tabs on everyone in the facility.

The mission we had made up, was run that included making an exchange with another Mafia gang in the area. After getting the approval from Eda, we got to work.

There were going to be five people on this fake mission. Boscha, Matt (mattolemul), Gus, Viney, and I. While Scarlet stayed a distance and kept a close eye on everyone.

We also snuck some trackers onto everyone in case someone left the building to inform whoever attacked us.

Grabbing my mask, I walk into the file room where Scarlet was waiting. "You ready?" She asks while adjusting her ear piece.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I reply while grabbing the other ear piece so that we could communicate.

"Well, be safe out there." She says firmly while we grasp out hands tight.

"You too."

Walking outside, we place a mask on our faces, and I grab my bat, and a bag with just blank paper.

When we arrive at the location, it was quite. The person from the Lycon mafia who Eda had requested to take part, wasn't even there.

"Behind you!" I hear Scarlet shout into the ear piece.

I spin around, and sure enough behind us were three others, who literally looked like ninjas, with the sword thingys and everything.

Hearing something behind me, I spin around again and four more people stood there. Three looking like ninjas, and one who looked like they were in charge.

"Well well. If it isn't the Owl gang. Ypu know, I never thought you guys to be so gullible. Considering the fact you guys are one of the higher ups." The person standing in front said menacingly.

"Luz, Boscha just snuck off!" Scarlet shouting through the ear piece.

"Well then, it's a good thing we know how to think ahead then." I say with a grin as one of our ally gangs burst in.

Eda had loved our idea, but she wanted us to have backup in case. So, she contacted one of our allys. The Cat gang, who always owed us for something, rather it was giving them a place to hide, or getting another gang off their trail.

The Cat gang was one of the lower gangs, so they always had someone after them. Even though they were lower, their specialty was counter ambushes. If it wasn't for them, Scarlet wouldn't have gotten out of her last mission.

Dropping the bag, I pull put my daggers and then the ninjas of the enemy jumped into action. Dodging a swing from behind, I quickly spoke into the ear piece. "Scarlet, which direction did Boscha head?"

"She headed toward the stairs. Don't do anything yet, I'm making my way over!" She replied. Suddenly she comes in and knocks one of the ninjas in the head with her bat.

"OK, now we can go. Come on!" She shouted while barely dodging another attack.

We run to and up the stairs. We make it to the top, and see Boscha smirking while standing next to a tall figure wearing a slender mask.

"If it isn't the Noceda twins." The figure said in a deep and authorities voice.

Clenching the daggers in my hands I say as inimidating as possible, "who are you?"

"Why I'm an old friend of your parents. And my, I do have to say you two look a lot like your mother." He replied with a smirk.

Scarlet and I exchange looks, neither of us trusted him. Eda would've told us about him if he was a 'friend'.
