Jimin totally is not worried about losing Minjeong in a crowd someday. Absolutely not. And she's not worried one bit because she's got a solution.
“Hey!”
Her knee-jerk reaction is to smile like a child being gifted the biggest lollipop in the store. Minjeong looks so, so adorable in overalls. Big and loose around her small figure. Large yellow sweatshirt with sleeves going past her fingers. Jimin thinks Minjeong deserves to be showered with love and adoration every second of the day.
She pulls Minjeong closer by her cute puffy cheeks, placing a chaste kiss on her forehead. She fixes the tousled strands of hair when she leans away. “Hi, muffin.” The pet name tints Minjeong's cheeks a pale red, and Jimin laughs heartily.
Instead of commenting on it like she usually does, Minjeong wraps her arms around Jimin and nuzzles her face into the crook of her neck.
“You look cuter today.”
“I look like a minion.”
A louder laughter fills Jimin's chest as she gives a tighter squeeze around Minjeong's smaller body before separating. “The cutest minion, I fear. You're just missing the goggles.”
Minjeong feigns a scowl. “No thanks.”
Jimin gazes over her fondly, reaching out to run her thumb over Minjeong's cheek gingerly. “So where do you want to go first?”
“Aren't you hungry?” Minjeong's eyes are glistening in the light, and Jimin can see her own reflection in them. The younger takes Jimin's hand into hers, lacing their fingers. “You mentioned wanting to eat at that Japanese food place again, right? The one we went to for your birthday last year?”
Jimin smiles. She can't ignore the swelling of her heart in her chest. Minjeong always remembers the littlest details, the most useless and simplest things. Sometimes she wonders if Minjeong spends her free time reminiscing and recalling their short, mindless conversations. Because the amount of intricate elements she remembers are not simply because she has good memory, Jimin's sure of that.
“What are you laughing at?”
Minjeong is immediately covering her smile, putting a hand over her mouth, stifling laughter. They are seated in some other restaurant because the Japanese one had a freakishly long line of people queuing outside of its entrance and Minjeong's stomach was getting angrier by the minute. They sit in a secluded corner away from the eyes of families, Jimin sits across Minjeong who leans against the wall for support.
