On a rainy day of which Minjeong doesn't have classes flooding her schedule and she instead uses the free time to complete a thirty-minute presentation that's due the day after tomorrow, she makes a new discovery.
Apparently, a demanding assignment and a clingy girlfriend don't really mesh well.
“Minjeoooong..”
One hour after her deep dive into the research of her presentation on sharp force trauma, she had Jimin headbutting her arm and whining about not being her first priority. And, don't get her wrong, Jimin still is her main priority but Minjeong isn't the most loyal when it comes to academics.
And it has now been roughly two and a half hours since she began working. Jimin gave up on obtaining her undivided attention approximately twenty minutes after she barged into the room, opting for calling her name every ten or so minutes as she makes a Jimin-shaped indent in Minjeong's bed. Minjeong, on the other hand, can't bring herself to separate from her laptop for even a second.
She's currently on the 25th slide and her fingers are screaming for help just as much as her eyes are begging for a rest. But Minjeong weighs her responsibilities and decides that the probability of ditching her assignment for a cuddle session with her girlfriend if she were to take a break is way too high, so she continues with her presentation.
Clingy Jimin isn't hard to find nor is she difficult to deal with. Usually Minjeong would just give her a long kiss and she'll get through the day with a smile on her face. Today, however, Minjeong feels the need to play dirty with her. And no, not that kind of dirty. Get your mind out of the gutter, folks.
“Mindoooong..”
Jimin is adorable, no doubt. She's even more cuter when she's sulking and Minjeong doesn't want to admit that she loves it when she has to dote on Jimin to get rid of those pouty lips.
When she finally wills herself to look over at Jimin, she finds the girl buried under her blankets and it takes Minjeong about two blinks to make up her mind that—yes, she will most definitely choose to cuddle with her girlfriend over completing the presentation because—the presentation isn't as important as the sulking big baby on her bed as of this moment.
So Minjeong gets off her chair, leaving her laptop staring at her empty seat and the presentation screaming at her to finish it, and goes over to sit beside the lump on the bed.
Her fingers lightly tap against what she assumes is Jimin's hip. “Jiminie,” Minjeong softly calls. “You have my attention now.”
Jimin doesn't respond. She instead pops her head out the blanket for a mere two seconds to throw a glare at Minjeong, then returns under it and even turns around to face the wall behind her. Minjeong swears on her life that she heard somewhat of a harrumph coming from under that thick blanket.
Great. She's got both an upset girlfriend and a pending assignment to appease. But fear not, the former is a piece of cake to solve while the latter is a pain in the ass.
“Jimin.” She moves to gently tug on the sheets off Jimin's face. When Jimin doesn't do anything to prevent her, Minjeong slides the blanket down to her girlfriend's shoulders. “Jimin?” She smiles as Jimin continues on with her angry face.
Minjeong pulls Jimin back by her shoulder, making her lie flat on the bed. “You're not mad, are you?”
Jimin glances at her with narrowed eyes. “I am mad.”
“Really?” Minjeong chuckles instead of taking her seriously. In all honesty, with Jimin's cute face, she can never take her too seriously. “'Cause if you were actually mad, you wouldn't even be here right now.”
“I'm pissed off at you.”
“I know,” Minjeong leans over and sweeps a few strands of black hair away from Jimin's face. “But we both know you can only be pissed off at me for so long, baby.”
“Go away.”
“This is my room, you know?”
Jimin rolls her eyes, albeit without any real intention. And Minjeong's smile widens before she bends forward, dropping a kiss on Jimin's forehead. She pulls back only to lean down again and leave another kiss on Jimin's cheek, then on the tip of her nose, on her other cheek, and finally slotting with her soft pink lips. There's a short second of stillness right before Jimin relents, melting into the kiss and responding with a neutral amount of urgency and reluctance.
Minjeong tears herself off of Jimin and as the older girl tries to bring her back in for another kiss, she resists by propping her arms on either side of Jimin's body. “Still upset?” The question comes with a playful lilt in her voice, and it makes Jimin's nose scrunch up adorably.
“Kiss me again, and then I'll decide.”
She laughs. “Bossy. I like it.”
Jimin doesn't stop her when she reaches under the thin sweater that Jimin decided to wear on a whim before she trudged her way into Minjeong's room, and Minjeong doesn't stop Jimin when she pulls Minjeong onto the bed for a quick cuddle, successfully abandoning her presentation where she left it to be picked up tomorrow.
