“I mean, I'll have to meet your friends someday, right? I'm sure everything will be alright.”

That's what Minjeong had said to reassure Jimin that she was okay with coming over, and that she was absolutely okay with meeting her housemates who have been her best friends for over a decade who she claimed to be very, very, very overprotective of her.

And that is correct! She really is okay with meeting Jimin's overprotective best friends. Even if it means not being able to see Jimin right away when she arrives because then she'll probably be dragged away for interrogation first. But that's fine. It's just like fathers having a lengthy talk with their daughter's boyfriend, right?

“Hello, you little heartbreaker.”

Okay. Perhaps she'd underestimated how she would be interrogated. And she most definitely was not thinking of a broomless broom stick prodding at her chest and an actual interrogating room. Maybe Jimin was right, after all.

“Heart... breaker?”

Jimin's best friends are intimidating. No doubt. Although she does believe they can be sweethearts on another day that isn't their first encounter.

“You look like one.”

“She does.”

One of them is sitting in the chair across Minjeong. Slanted fox eyes, sharp nose, full lips, chiseled jawline, ebony hair. Minjeong assumes this best friend is the one whose job is to scare potential threats around Jimin.

The other one is holding the broom stick against Minjeong. Big eyes, button nose, small lips, round face, light brown hair. And she's obviously a tad bit shorter than Minjeong is. Therefore, Minjeong assumes this one is the angry little gremlin Jimin always mentions in their random conversations.

Right. Back to the situation at hand.. Did fox eyes just say she looks like a heartbreaker? What's that even supposed to mean? “...I do?”

“Of course. That's why we're here.”

“...Huh?”

To be completely fair, you can't really blame Minjeong for giving half-assed responses. She's just driven for twenty-five minutes and the first thing she gets when she knocks on the front door is two beasts coming for her neck? Yeah, you're going to have to deal with a dumbass for about five minutes before you get actual answers.

“To make sure you don't break our Jiminie's heart.” The gremlin doesn't sound all that intimidating, truthfully. But with the broom stick pressing firmly against her chest, Minjeong can do nothing but keep her thoughts to herself.

“Right,” Fox eyes trails off for a split second, eyeing Minjeong from head to toe. “So how many girls have you slept with before Jimin?”

Now..

“Whoa, what? I'm.. I've– What– Like.. one?”

Fox eyes is quiet for a single tick of the clock. She rolls her eyes. “Liar. Stake her.”
