We decided to spend the weekend away from our house in Amerige Heights and enjoy some much needed downtime. Grant and Bailey are going to kindergarten this fall after Labor Day weekend. They spent a busy May in preschool close to our house and loved every minute of it. The school was much better than one near our house in San Clemente. Kindergarten for two five year olds will be an experience for all of us. Bailey turns five in August while Grant will become six years old in December.

"Are you sure we will be back in time for Bailey's birthday?" James asked as we were doing some of our normal things while here.

"Yes, our Niagara Falls vacation is the second week of August. We will be back. Also we can celebrate his birthday the next weekend along with mine." I suggested.

"That's good, combine both birthdays into one. Also we need to get them ready for school. They start right after Labor Day!" James said as he worked on the hand held camera. It got broken over the fourth of July. Someone accidentally dropped it on the sidewalk during a party we had for the holiday.

"Just think, we can have our friends and neighbors or a few of them come over to help us celebrate." I said while baking cookies.

"Yeah, that one neighbor who moved in next door! What's his name!" James said while trying to fix the camera. "Erin has a thing for the guy!"

"Yeah, she does and the guy's name is Lance. An Olympic swimmer and a fitness fanatic." I said.

"I don't see him giving her a second look."

"Maybe when he turns around or runs right next to her." I said.

"I still don't see it." James said while shaking his head in disbelief.. The guy was as tall as James and had light brown hair that was almost blonde. He had that swimmer's built body as well.

"Well, this Ken doll must have blinders on him." I said. I call him Ken because he looks like the Ken doll from the Barbie doll collection.

"Maybe we shouldn't let Erin stay at the guest house." James suggested.

"She's staying because her apartment is getting renovated. She didn't want to stay with Earl and cause any problems." I reasoned.

"Yeah, especially when Gayle thought she should take over the family business!" James remarked.

"Until Earl put his foot down and told her to scram." I said as I placed chocolate chip cookies on a cooling rack.

"More like butt out. I don't remember his exact wording but he didn't want her to interfere." James said.

"Oh, also Tony Stark's widow has gotten involved with the movie." I mentioned.

"All because of Steve including Tony or Ironman in his book." James commented.

"Yeah, Pepper had a say about that with Gayle as well. Those two do not get along well since we had to sit in a meeting with Gayle last month." I remarked.

"Also with the way they started to go on and on about the movie and Steve's book. I think Tony's wife interprets the book differently than Gayle does." James mentioned.

"Oh yes and the way they talked about it during the meeting. I had to excuse myself and laugh like crazy in the ladies' room." I said, thinking of my quick escape that day.

"At least you weren't in their line of fire. The two were hurling insults at each other while Earl pulled the fire alarm to get their attention." James described.
