Day Eight

Statue of Liberty

Friday August 15, 2031

We woke up a little later than usual because we were up during the night, having wild and animalistic sex. In the morning, we ordered room service for breakfast. Also James made his hangover concoction for us. We drank too much alcohol after dinner, coupled with our sexual activities for the night we woke up with headaches. It was eggs, toast, coffee and James concoction for us.

"Oh! I hope I can make it for the day!" I moaned while eating dry toast for breakfast.

"I'm surprised you drank so much during dinner. Also after before we had sex. What's gotten into you now?" James mentioned and asked while we ate.

"Uh, maybe it's because we were at Empire State Building. I thought it was fantastic being there. Also quiet, we don't get a quiet day at times when our kids are around." I explained.

"I get what you mean. I've grown accustomed to the noise of our boys. For me, it's like comfort in some way. A good way for me to calm down at times and of course, you as well." He said while eating some toast with jelly. "Do you get that feeling too?"

"Uh yes, in a way I do. At least we don't have to worry about Becca talking all the time right now." I remarked as I drank his concoction.

"That's the beauty of it because she likes to laugh or giggle at times. Her cheerful attitude makes Grant and Bailey's commotion more bearable. She finds something funny and gets them to loosen up. I think that's what I meant." James said while drinking coffee.

"Yeah, like comedy relief!" I agreed with him.

"Yeah! That's what it is!" He said while eating breakfast." He stated. "Also she's a perfect ray of sunshine. I know I always look forward to seeing her in the morning."

"We are blessed with a sunny and personable girl. I'm hoping it will stay the same as she gets older." I mentioned.

"Also which one is more like me now? Grant or Bailey? I sometimes forget." James asked.

"Grant's the one who gets moody. On the other hand, Bailey is one who's always letting us know where Grant is or Becca." I remarked.

"Bailey's turned into one levelheaded young boy and kind of like a moderator."

"He's definitely turning out to be one miniature judge between Grant and anyone who come up to challenge Grant or us for that matter." I mentioned.

"I know!" He said, smiling. "He's turning into Steve! More reasonable and agreeable. How did that happen when we're not all together? All of us have our flaws while Bailey's more pulled together." James mentioned.

"I'm sure Bailey has some flaws but I'm sure we will find out as he gets older."

"Aside from all that, what are we going to do today?" He asked.

"Today's Friday. We leave for home on Sunday. So we can pick anything we want for the day." I said. "Also what about you contacting those numbers the museum staff girl gave you?"

"Oh that! I called some of the numbers she gave me one afternoon. A few of them are not available this weekend." He answered while eating his breakfast. "I do have a few more to call and see if there's a nibble."

"Well, good luck on getting through with some of your relatives. Our time is almost ending here." I gently reminded him.

"Yeah, maybe I should try another method." He said.
