Jessamine was the only person who didnt seem to tire from the non-stop searching for the perfect outfit. Clary, Isabelle and Tessa however were already retired to the side of the shop. This should have been the time when Isabelle would be freaking out over clothes. Style was her forte, but clearly nothing had prepared her for this. They had gone to 10 shops in just under half an hour and still there were many more to visit on Jessmine's List.

" The first thing abought clothing here is that its not like our training gear. We do not simply wear our gear when we feel like it. There are particular times and events in which certain clothes are appropriate for" Jessamine barked. If she had seemed uninterested before, the topic of clothing and fashion certainly fired her up like anything. It was odly amusing how just from the way a women choose to wear a certain peice of clothing, a man could imply many things about her. From the times Isabelle and Clary were used to, expectations and social ettiqutte were very different. It was quite daughnting actually.

"Right, Clary, you are first, lets find the perfect look for you!" Jessamine chanted. Isabelle immeadieatly tightened her grip on Clary's arm

"Where are you taking her?"

everyone just stared at her. The wide eyed blonde haired jessamine chuckled

" Just to the changing room, relax, you'l be next" and she was off. Before Clary had a chnce to move any further, Isabelle whispered in her ear

" I wouldnt trust her with styling my Dog. Becareful okay?"

clary simly staed back and laughed. There was a very clear difference in fashion sense.

" Im sure im not going to die with a bit of fashion mishap"

and then clary dissapeared into a room covered by curtains at the back of the store. Apon entering the curtain covered room, Clary had passed many different types of fabric. Finally ariving in the back, an old lanky lady had a measuring tape and a stern look ready to serve Clary. Before she could even introduce herself, she found herself in the grasp of this lanky lady being measured up, sucked in, pulled and yanked everywhichway into a corset and being put up against a millenia of different materials. Eventually once the blur was over, she found herself retreating backoutside where there was now a book of designes she had to choose from. If you had asked anyone, they probally should have been flattered by being this fussed over, but for clarry it was all a bit too much. Like as if you can just walk into a store and have them make you a dress according to your likes and style. Issabelle exited the fitting room in just about the same condition clary had apon being bamboozeled with all these instruments of mesurment. Finally when everyone was done, the lady began.

" Clary, from your measurments I think an ivory Jannette with a pair of simple brown middletons will look beautifull"

everyone turned to Clary to get some sort of approval. She had no idea what an 'Ivory Janet' was, probally a dress of some sort, Nor middletons, probally shoes. She nodded anyway and smiled to the crowd. Next it was Isabelle who was thrown into the spotlight.

" Isaabelle, for you i believe a ruby red madonna with black middletons will do the trick"

Isabelle also had no idea what either of these styles meant in this days fashion life, but she was prepared to see some prepostorous outfit. For now, Clary and Isabelle had slipped into a 'day dress' for the past couple of days. Isabelles being pink with her own training shoes she managed to slip under the long ass dress and Clary's a lighter shade of green had easily attained stains within the first 10 minutes of wearing. These clothes were alot harder to wear than modern day clothes. Both of them took a minute of silence to remember that they would no longer be able to wear anything close to pants other than in training now. Finally the paper work had been finished and Tessa and Jessamine led the other two girls out the store and back down the avenue.

" So how are you finding this little adventure of ours so far?" Tessa questioned. Both girls shared a look and mentally communicated that they just wanted to go back right now. they were so tired from walking in and out of shops all day, trying a tone of relentless corsets and being measured up for dresses they would have to wear. ofcourse though they didnt want to be rude, so they both smiled back and nodded in apprecciation. To their joy they realised they were makng their way back to the institute.

The boys also went on their own shopping adventure, just not in the same department. They all had an amazing time looking at all the weapons and fangirling over the blades and adamas. Even though Jace and Alec had better weapons, it was still intriging to see what style of weapons they had in this time and how they used it.

"The institute needs some more weapons, so pick out what you think might be of use and we can put it under the account"

This sparked Jace and Alecs interest. It was almost as if someone had given them a gift card to go shopping at the mall on christmas. It was like christmas for them. Not wasting anymore time, they moved immeadiatly

"Jace! check this out! This bow is laced with adama flakes"

jace was by alecs side in 2 secconds flat surveying the bow.

"Mmm, but in battle how annoying would it be if everytime you had to re-fill you adama flakes?"

"Thats true, but its Adama flakes! c'mon"

As Alec and jace got lost in coversation, Gideon went straight up to the wooden counter to delve through their catalouge whilst Gabriel searched the aisle of swords. The narrow aisles of steel greeted him further into warrior history. Many of the swords on the shelves had a small plaque next to them with information about its main use and previous owners. One in particular sparked his interest. Although shaped like a normal sword, it's steel had an unknown gleem to it. It's colour wasnt the standard silver a sword was, and it wasn't fully made out of adamas. picking it up from the bench, the rest of the world seemed to fall away from him untill it was just him and the sword in a blank white area. panicking he droped the sword.

" Gideon!"

but he was only answered by his echoes. The climate of the empty white room began to change and take a much colder appearence. He picked up the sword once again and a sound became audiable in the climbing wind. The longer he held onto it, the more he could decipher.

Go back to the institute

what? Did this sword just talk to him? The words seemed so decisive and clear that on the last syllable he snapped back into the weapons shop. Looking down at his hand, he found that the sword he once held in his hand no longer was there. He searched frantically, but couldnt see anything. It was in that moment he decided they needed to go back.

"Gideon? jace, alec"

he yelled. they arrived all at once concearned about whatcould have happened.

" We need to go back"

" What? why? we just got he-"

"We just do, c'mon"

"brother, dont you think you are being a bit unre-"

"Now is not the time for reasonable or unreasonable, somethings wrong. I know it."

without further delay, they left the shop immeadiatly and headed straight back to the institute. Apon entering the institute, nothing seemed out of place at all. What could have happened. They marched straight past all the corridors and straight for the library where they found Charlotte and Henry studying a burning inscription in the floor. As they got closer, the words got clearer

Im coming for you
