"I love it how we have arranged a meeting in tris's room and she's not even here"
Isabelle laughed. Everyone had just made the plans without really considering how she would feel about it.

"It's okay, we can make it up to her later "
Tobias joined. After several minutes of chatter between te group, the talk subsided and Alec began

"So, when should we put our plan into action?"

"Tonight "
Jace replied. Everyone nodded and pondered on it. Just having recently met their ancestors, they all were a bit reluctant to leave. What else could they discover? They had already discovered so much in the past couple of days without even having talked to them much and already they had to leave.

"Can't we wait a bit?" Clary questioned
"For what? To be caught?"

"We'll don't you guys think it's kind of a once in a lifetime chance to get to know our roots? Like when else are we going to have this opportunity again?"

Everyone went silent. Jace spoke up.

"As cool as it is, it's also dangerous. What if we get caught? We could very well extinguish the possibility of our lives and families being born without our knowledge! "

"Then just one more day"

Everyone looked at each other nervously. One day couldn't hurt right? Suddenly, a Knock sounded through the door disrupting the conversation. A minute later two small, femenine figures came into the room. One with a scar, Sophie, and Tris.

"Ah! You've exposed our hideout!"
Jace joked

"It's kind of my room.."
Tris countered. Meanwhile Sophie was standing behind tris wide eyed

"...if you'd like, I can leave-"
"No no! Please, you're welcome to stay here! Just ignore them"
Tris smiled. They all looked back at her raising their brows.

"Ah! I have some questions actually...can you tell us a bit a out life here? "
Isabelle questioned. She began almost immediately remembering that they had been new. Half wY through triss pulled out Tobias from the group and led him just a way down the corridor away from site. From her pocket of her daydress, she produced several silver chains with dangling angel feathers on the end. Tobias recognised them immediately. They had the same sheen theirs had, before they turned into tatoos.

"You know..I was thinking with the feathers we had gotten from the angel..maybe-"

Tobias's eyes snapped open wide and filled with concern.

"Okay wait...I don't mind you giving away the feathers, but what if they turn out like us?" His concerned eyes were matched by confused ones.

", they arnt divergent though, it's impossible "

"Yeah, but also how do we know its not the feathers? Do you remember how they turned into tattoos on us?"

"Yeah I do. And I also remeber the angel saying that his feathers are valuable. These people basically saved our lives! Imagine what would have happened had they not been there..."

He looked down at the soft feathers lying in her small hands. She was right. What would have happened if they were alone? They knew they sure wouldn't have been here, nor able to get away from Sebastian. But he wasn't concerned about repaying a bill, rather than what could happen to them if they came in touch with the feather? Tris didn't seen to yield from her proposal.

"Okay. But you are going to have to be the one to take responsibility if anything happens."

"I honestly don't think it will, because these are angel feathers and they already have angel in them anyway.."

Momentarily she placed her hand over her tatoo. The skin under her fingers began to singe her finger tips. She pulled them back immeadiatly to find a brightly burning feather necklace in her hand. Suddenly, a large flash of white appeared and soon they both were no longer at the institute, but instead in a large, sky length white pearl room. Immediately they came together. A figure in large flowing robes floated down towards them.
His features were barley visible due to the deathening brightness radiating off him.

My children. You are about to embark on an important journey.

Soon, you will come and learn the ways of heaven. You must be prepared. Use these feathers as communication when the time comes to leave, for at one time, it will be the only form of communication between the human world and ours.

what!? what was that supposed to mean? they heard everything that was being said but could not reply. Their mouths were iron clad shut. before they knew it, they were flashed back into the institute. They stood disorientated for a few seconds before gaining composure to the issue that happened.
"Man, I have GOT to stop doing that.."
Tobias looked back at her in shock.
"How the hell..."
"I honesty don't know. I just touched the tatoo and then bam!"

He slowly placed his palm over his tatoo and waited, but nothing. What on earth was that!? Deciding not to think on it too much, tris quickly began moving back to the door.

"What are you doing!? Are you crazy!?"

"What?"
She seemed perplexed. They had been taught to just keep moving in difficult situations, and infact, Tobias had been her leading instructor! Why wasn't he following what he had taught her so long ago?

"We just got transported...to another place with NO logical explanation..and here you are ready to just keep moving with your life!?"

She stopped and waited for him to come closer

"No. I'm still shaken, but I've learnt to hit the ground running. I know what we need to do now. This place requires us to be adaptable! that was one of the first things you had taught me...I'm no longer unsure about those necklaces, I know now. And I also know we can't afford to waste time"

She reopened the door to the huddled group. sophie was at the middle of it. She began to address them

"Um..so everyone...Tobias and I have a gift for you..a small token of appreciation really"
She looked back at him standing in the doorway staring at her.
"See that's really sweet!"
"Thanks guys"

She began handing it out to everyone. After having gne around, she was still left with excess. Perhaps she could also give them to the older shadow hunters? She looked back and saw no Tobias. Maybe later they could discuss it
Somewhere along the exchange in conversation, lunch had come up and they all found themselves going towards the dining room
