Shadows of the Multiverse

Chapter 1

Ingrid's POV

When I opened my eyes I saw her running towards me. 

My sister was running towards me but instead of stopping when she came near me, she ran through me. I was confused as being able to go through things wasn't my ability I turned around to see my lifeless body I couldn't believe what was in front of my eyes. A thousand questions flooded my head with no answers was I dead ? I tried remembering my last memories but I can't seem to remember anything. I was so sure that someone had messed with my memories but right now I needed to find Ava. I was sure that she was also somewhere near. Even as a ghost, I could feel her presence around me. In a matter of seconds, she was there and she looked surprised to see me standing there

 "Are you-" She couldn't complete her sentence because of tears I had never seen her cry considering that she was immortal she was used to not getting too attached to people but I shook myself out of my thoughts and replied 

"Yes..yes I am dead," I told her to follow me outside and as soon as we reached an empty alley she started asking me many questions at once 

"Calm down I am not running anywhere and I am as clueless as you are so please just calm down," I said. 

It was shocking to see her cry because she was the most powerful magic sorcerer in our universe. She then started walking without saying a word to me. I decided to leave her alone for some time as I didn't know what to do or say in this situation.

Later when I was walking around the city I came across another girl who could see me. Her clothes were not in good condition and her hair was stopping me from seeing her face 

"Are you dead? " she asked 

"I guess you can say that but how do you know" I was perplexed as I didn't look dead 

"Because so am I and you can see me so it is undeniable that either you are also dead or you can see spirits" 

Later I tried to see if my powers were still with me after I died so I concentrated and tried to travel to another universe 

"Yes, it worked" I squealed.  

I was so happy that I could still travel across the multiverse and I was in a completely new universe. Every time I traveled to new universes I paid more attention to everything else but this time I wanted to see what I was doing in this universe.

 After a long time of searching, I saw me walking right in front of me she was crossing the road I wanted to talk to her just then I saw someone moving in the corner of my eye I could not help the feeling of familiarity when I saw him it felt like I knew him  I turned to see who he was I could not see his face but I decided to follow him I saw him taking a turn but just as I reached near him he got lost in the crowd. 

"Oh no, what did I just do," I said to myself I realized that I had forgotten what I came to do here and instead followed a stranger but something in my mind said that he was no stranger.

I went back and tried to find another version of me but I could not find her.

 "Great job Ingrid you have managed to lose yourself and a familiar stranger guy in  5 minutes," I said to myself as I returned back to my universe.
