Ava's POV
I was almost done preparing dinner when Ingrid came to my house for dinner. My whole house was silent
"Hey! How are you? Long time no see I missed you so much. You know things get boring when I don't have anyone to talk to." she said entering my living room
"I also missed you so much," I said hugging her
"Dude it smells so good. Did you make the dinner " she said noticing me wearing an apron
I nodded and said "Come take a seat"
I chuckled remembering the good times we shared. Saying that I missed her would be an understatement. Ingrid always had a way of making the atmosphere so chilled and fun. Without her, my house is silent again with no one speaking non-stop.
I needed to find Ingrid's killer, but something didn't feel right.
Third person POV
The government officials were also trying their best to convince Ava to work with them as their world was experiencing weird things lately so they managed to arrange a meeting with Ava. She was the most powerful magic holder in their universe but she chose to keep her powers private. she didn't tell everyone about this but she didn't even have half of her powers with her as she had used them to create a shield around their universe.
Her powers were not familiar to people but that didn't mean that she was also not known she was a famous actor and was planning to produce a movie and a series in the future so the whole world knew her very well.
As soon as she walked into the room everyone looked at her.
"Is she the most powerful magic holder? She looks like she can't even kill a mosquito," Agent Hunter said to the person next to him. That was not true; she did look like she could kill a lot more than a mosquito.
But before the person next to Agent Hunter could reply Agent Sky sitting in front of them replied "Be careful don't make her angry. She is not nice when she is angry." He knew her as he had worked with her before and they both were good friends.
"We are not going to stop what is she going to do challenge us to a war, " Agent Hunter said laughing
"Actually if she was not afraid to challenge the goddess of war to a war then you are no one special" Agent Sky said and noticing his serious face Agent Hunter understood that he needed to stop.
Ava agreed to help solve this mystery because she was convinced that all this had some connection to Ingrid's death.
Ava's POV
I had to go to a meeting with some Agents to work on a case where they had noticed and experienced weird things lately. I agreed to help them solve the case but I was really tired today so I decided to go home as soon as I entered I felt the weird presence of someone I was sure that it was none of my ghost friends.
"Show yourself," I said preparing to fight whoever it was but that's when Ingrid came through my bedroom door and said
"Relax I just came to check on you since you went so quickly that day" I let my guard down and told her
"First sit I have to talk to you," I said sitting on my couch.
"Do you know who killed you or anything useful for me to find your killer?" I asked
"No I don't remember anything near that day someone messed with my memories," She said
"What's the last thing you remember?" I asked
"Remember when I went to Tokyo and had dinner at your house" she replied I was shocked
"Ingrid that was 3 months before you died!" I said
"You look tired today Go to sleep and get some rest tonight, okay And don't worry about me at all okay I will be fine," she said taking me to my room
I wanted to argue with her but decided against it as I was tired and wanted to get some rest so I said goodbye to her and told her to meet me tomorrow and went to sleep.
