Shadows of the Multiverse

Chapter 3

Ingrid's POV

It had been a few days since my death so I decided to visit Ava but when I went to her house she was not there so I decided to look around her house.

 I was in her bedroom when I heard her say "Show yourself" 

Oh yeah, I had completely forgotten that she could still feel the presence of ghosts around her  "Relax I just came to check on you since you went so quickly that day" I said coming out of her bedroom she looked somewhat relieved to see me.

We talked for a little while and I found out that I had no memories of the three months before my death which felt weird. Why would someone do that? As far as I can remember I didn't have any enemy who would go as far as killing me.

My mind was consumed with the mysterious guy who seemed familiar to me. I couldn't shake the feeling that he had some connection to me, so I decided to return to the universe I had previously visited in hopes of uncovering the truth. 

Just when I reached that universe I tried to find that person but I couldn't so I decided to walk around when I saw a guy that was not the one I was looking for but he seemed to know me.

"Ingrid! You're alive" he said trying to grab my hand but his hand went through mine he looked sad to see that.

"Hi, do I know you? And how do you know who I am?" I asked confused but he could be a friend or someone I knew but didn't remember as a big chunk of my memories were erased.

He then said that his name was Damian and he was my best friend in the universe he told me how close they were but I could not help but notice that he was a bit sad but I couldn't figure out why so after he finished talking I asked

"um.. Do you know where can I find me?"  since he was my close friend I thought he would know but that's when his face became really serious and with sadness in his voice 

"I don't know how to say this but um.. you are also dead in this universe" he replied

"What!!" I said this could not be true no how am I dead in this universe "Do you know how I died in this universe?"  I asked still not believing what just happened.

"If you ask someone else they will say that it was a car accident but I believe that this all is staged someone killed her someone killed my best friend and I am not going to let them go away with it," He said his sadness slowly turning into anger.

"Thank you so much for informing me about all this but I have to go back to my universe I will meet you later and we will find out who did this," I said remembering that I had spent already enough time here and was supposed to go back and I also wanted to tell Ava about all this.

I wanted to tell Damian that I think that my killer could be the person who is doing all this but Ava told me not to give away information to anyone without informing her so I needed to talk to her before doing anything.
