A week had been passed since then. Serena tried hard to find out who Dawn was talking about to apologise but didn't get any clues. She would ask Dawn about it but she would refuse to tell her every time she asks her. She was getting frustrated by her lack of answers to her questions. She now decided that if today she didn't get the desired answers she would stalk her and then would find out by herself. They were now currently in their English class. The teacher was discussing about William Shakespeare's works. Then suddenly, the teacher decided to ask the class a question,
"Alright, students how many of you know the true meaning of love?" As soon as she asked that question many students raised their hands with one of them being Serena too. Ash had no interest in love. He was so traumatized that he didn't even want to hear that word. His own father never loved him, so how can he feel it. His mother was the only person who ever loved him and she was the only person besides his father he ever loved too. The teacher was confused to whom she can ask to answer but she saw that nearly all the students have their hands raised except Ash so she decided to ask him about it.
"Hey, Ash Would you pls tell the whole class, what is the true meaning of love?" The teacher asked him but as soon as she asked him, the students started whispering mean things about him. Then suddenly Calem stood up in his seat and said,
"Well, Miss. Juniper, I don't think he would know the meaning of it cause who would love a person like him." Everyone started to laugh at that comment and Ash felt really embarassed. The teacher had enough so she snapped at the class and said,
"Class, if I hear anhone saying anything mean word about him, you all will be given extra homework plus detention!" The whole class immediately got silent. She was one of the only teachers who didn't like how the whole school treated him. There must have had something happened to him.
"Ok, Ash, Now Pls tell us the meaning of love?" Miss Juniper asked him and he stood up from his seat with his hoodie kept over his head and he was looking at the ground. He scanned the whole class with his eyes. His Eyes landed on Calem and Gary who both gave him glares. He turned back from them and answered,
"Love is a strong word which we feel about someone who is very dear to us. It's something which cannot be expressed by words. We get emotionally attached to that person and that person becomes someone whom we care about deeply. Love is an emotion which can only be felt by few. It gives warm fuzzy feeling inside our heart and it gives us butterflies just by thinking about that special Someone. There can be brotherly love, sisterly love, Parental love and Romantic love. We can fall in love with a person at anytime and place, it can be love at first sight and so on." He answered in his usual cold tone and sat down on the seat. The whole class got silent hearing his answer. No one thought that the loser who got the least marks in Every subject can explain something so perfectly. Miss. Juniper looked proud. Serena too looked shocked. She wondered how can he define something so perfectly but she wanted the chance to speak about the word which is really special to her and wanted the whole class to feel her emotions through it. It would have been meant for her childhood friend. She never would have thought that the 'loser' would be able to define the word 'love' perfectly. She hated him for this. First, he came and pretended to be her childhood friend and now trying to steal her spotlight from the school and from the subject she loved the most. She can't see anyone getting above her and certainly not the 'loser' of the school.
"Well, Ash it was a good explanation but you could try to make it more better better anyways you can sit down now." Miss. Juniper said and started to teach the remaining lesson. Calem and Gary looked at Ash and gave him a deadly glare. Ash didn't even flinched. Calem was cooking something in his brain. He was thinking about giving him a lesson after the class. He decided to tell Gary about it,
