Akanji's POV

Azuki was in a hurry and moving at a rapid pace. She appeared to be extremely agitated about an undisclosed matter, most likely due to the unexpected disappearance of her friend Hina, whom Azuki had last seen earlier. Despite her intimidating presence, Azuki and I developed a strong bond after she showed great courage by intervening during a bullying incident. Azuki's resilience and strength were evident in her academic achievements. She was able to advance to the 9th grade ahead of schedule, a remarkable feat, given the painful loss of both her parents during her fifth-grade year. Even with this tragedy, she continued to strive for excellence, proving to be a bright and talented student.

Though Azuki may come across as tough and unapproachable, Her acts of bravery and determination are a testament to her character, and she is truly someone to admire. I started following Azuki one day when she encountered a familiar face – Kurayaits Konto, one of our former classmates. Kurayaits probably said something that briefly made Azuki's face light up, but that quickly turned to a frown. My curiosity was sparked; I wondered what Kurayaits could have said that provoked such a reaction from Azuki. She rarely showed any emotion, so her brief change in expression piqued my interest.

Azuki and I had always been curious, so I knew her well enough to recognize thatAzuki and Kurayaits set off, and I secretly followed them, curious to see where they were heading. After a while, they came upon a stunning traditional Japanese mansion surrounded by a garden filled with cherry blossom trees. The petals were falling like snowflakes in the steamy air, and the sight was breathtaking. Azuki seemed unconcerned by the scenery, however, and became annoyed when she saw the Shadow Hunters training nearby. I had always thought that shadows were a myth, but who were these hunters, and why were they so frightening?

As I was about to turn around and head back, someone suddenly covered my mouth and pulled us both to the ground. I felt a rush of adrenaline as we hit the ground, and a pang of fear raced through my body. The person pulling me down was strong and quick, and for a moment, I thought my life was in danger. But then my curiosity got the worst of me, and I began to wonder who the stranger was and what they wanted.
