Chapter Nineteen

Azuki's POV

Today me and 0134 went over the basics of shadows. She told me that shadows are usually created by one ripping off any body part and forcing it into a human, but another way that they can be made is by there own shadow possessing them and slowly eating away at there body.

The ranks in our corps are just numbered for example me and 0134 are rank #8 out of 30 ranks

The only known passive shadow is Kat which is lady Aoi's little sister, Lady Aoi is a Higher rank than me and she is 5,11 so she is tall. Rumor has it that as an offering to the shadow she gave away her left eye, which does explain why she has only one eye, she has the same uniform as me, which is a black leather shirt with no sleeves a red tie and fishnet gloves, she also has long black hair her right is green and she has ritual circles tattooed to her collarbone. She uses a sword.

I also found out that people who join in there teen years don't usually make it to the age of 20 and no-one who has joined at 20-29 made it to the age of 30 most people die in there 1st year if they join after 30.

I also meet the creator of 0134 her real name is Sorana but her code name is KAMI01. She always refuses to wear her uniform and she usually wears a sweater that says "Choco Milk" and very baggy pants. Her weapon is a HUGE butchers knife. her hair is dyed green and her eyes are also green. She created 0134 after her 7 year old deceased cousin and it took her 4 years to make 0134 and she's 20 0134 looks 17 she is 6 years old but is intelligent as heck. 

I also meet aki and akai their identical. Aki is the boy and Akai is the girl but they both look like girls they both have white hair and blue eye's and very child-like faces despite the fact that there both 17, they both smell like mist which is interesting, there code names are cool and cold.

I was sent on a mission with Nezunu his code name is  Young bird and he is the same age as me. He looks like a girl he looks kinda like he could be my twin if he wanted to. 

on the mission we fought a simple Shadow  It was a tall black slimy figure with one giant eye it was very easy to behead and I used no effort, No struggle. I didn't need Young Bird's help he was useless and meaningless just like me.

After the mission I Ran into Ckykua and akanji and I frowned, why were they here. Akanji shot me a nasty look and I Stuck my tongue out at her, Ckykua frowned as well she Looked angry Young Bird than said "Are yall stupid or something its so useless to be angry at comrades, yall are SO annoying."

I looked at him and decided that this conversation wasn't worth my time, so I was running, as fast as I could in the wrong direction until I heard someone coming so I jumped up into a tree I saw a group of hunters walk under I was about to join them but I realized that there weapons were not covered in shadow blood but human blood, there's not much of a difference between the two but human blood is a tad bit lighter that shadow blood.

One of them had long red hair and green eyes it's facial features were sharp and it said "Humans are so stupid, how could they not realize were not there own kind" another one who had dark skin and black hair and a very musclare features said "I know right pathetic as hell."

One of them looked in my direction and a softly ducked down before they could see me, and i drew my scythe Ready to attack, I lunged for one of there throats and they dodged it quickly. I smiled an evil smirk "This is going to be fun." I laughed.

I moved to the red haired one it dodged and stabbed its claws into my back I turned and, using my shoes that had blades attached to the bottom, kicked it. It stabbed is spear into my back but i grabbed the blade to prevent in from getting deep and went for another kick than grabbed my scythe and did a double front flip to cut off its arm My blade turned to a glowing silver and red and I gained markings on my arms they were shaped like Drops of blood they were red, I surged enough energy to almost cut of the dark one's head but it changed form the darkong was now a tall vampire looking creature and the redhead one was now a woman whose mouth was slit from ear to ear she looked like the urban legend Kuchisake-onna.

I heard her from a story from and old lady she had said  be sure to watch out for the ghost of the Slit-Mouthed Woman, more commonly known as Kuchisake- onna . This popular and ancient urban legend originates in Japan

        The legend commences with a stunning woman, who was married to a samurai. But beware, looks can be deceiving—she was very vain and one day, went as far as cheating on her Samurai husband. When he found out about the affair, he grew very enraged and slit her mouth from ear to ear, giving her a Glasgow smile (which is a smile caused by wounds cutting from ear to ear). Following this savage action, he asked, "Who will think you're pretty now?" Although the original tale is a cautionary one to remind people to stay faithful, the story takes a gruesome turn. In 2007, a coroner found records of similar shocking cases during the time of day that the story takes place, the nighttime. The records showed that many children had died at night, rumouring sightings of a woman with similar features were at the time and place of their deaths, giving a frightful realistic twist to the legend. This apparent phenomenon can be explained:a woman wearing a surgical mask or mask of some sort who would approach people  at night and ask them, "Am I pretty?" If they said no, she would slash their faces with a pair of scissors, giving them a similar Glasgow smile. However, if they said yes, she would reveal her face and ask again. If this time, they said "no", she would slash their faces regardless Even if they still said yes, she would follow them home and still brutally kill them. Many people believe the only way to break this pattern, is to confuse her by answering with either "you're okay" or "so-so", not providing a definite answer. The confusion from these replies would buy the victim enough time to get away


Am I pretty the lady had said i said   "you're okay" and than lunged for her throat.
