"Oh my god, you're alive!" Anna exclaimed, tears rolling down her face. "I thought you would've died there..."
"Hey, hey, relax." Orion set his metal arm on her shoulder. Anna brushed his arm away in fear of it.
"And what the hell happened to your arm and eye!?" Anna exclaimed.
"A lot." Orion said calmly. "I can tell you what all happened, if you relax." His voice was soft, soothing. Moonlight smiled warmly at their relationship. "Can you do that for me?" Anna's breathing slowly became more stable.
"Who's she?" Anna asked first, pointing back towards Moonlight.
"She's-um..."
"I'm his girlfriend." Moonlight's arm wrapped around Orion's waist.
"Uh-yeah. What she said." Orion smiled sheepishly. Anna glanced at them suspiciously. "How's the project coming along?" Anna put on her are-you-serious-right-now face. Orion couldn't help but stifle a laugh.
"That was due a week ago." She answered simply. "And everyone is wondering where you went. Even the popular people started to worry."
Orion laughed, nearly collapsing from laughter. "There is no way that-ha-they are worrying for me!" Calming down, Orion wiped a tear from his eye, chuckling once before completely calming down. "I'm gonna bet twenty bucks that you're joking." Anna stayed silent. "You're not joking, are you?" Anna shook her head.
"Everyone's gonna barrage you with questions when they find out you're back." Anna stated, unable to take her gaze off of Orion's metal arm.
"That is, if they find out I'm back." Orion added.
"Trust me, they'll find out." Anna chuckled softly. "Now, what happened to you?" Orion took a deep breath.
"I went into another dimension to help fight an evil goddess and found out said goddess was my mother and I couldn't get the courage to kill her so Moonlight did it for me then I blacked out and woke up in a futuristic city and found out that random people helped me and Moonlight and we helped fixed their inter-dimensional portal so I could get home." Orion said in one breath, then exhaling and stumbling.
"What?"
"Like he said, a lot." Moonlight helped Orion stand. "And yes, my ears and tail are real." Anna was still somewhat confused about all the information being dumped onto her.
"Can you explain it slowly?" She asked.
"Orion was taken back to the Enchanted Realm by someone called the Commander. In the Enchanted Realm, he led us to another continent that we hadn't explored yet, which was where a cult called the Star was raising a presumably dead goddess, called Eclipse. They succeeded, killing the Commander in the process. Over the course of the next week and a half, Orion and I searched for better weaponry, and for Eclipse's location. After finding out that what we thought was the Enchanted Realm was just a massive floating island, we began to explore the highly advanced world below. When we returned to the floating continents, we found Eclipse's castle, and fought her. Orion was too weak to stop her, so he told me to do it. After I ended Eclipse, something happened. The entire floating island blew up, and only me and Orion were the survivors. A week later, I woke up in a restoration pod, and found out that the island blew up, and that Orion was comatose. A week after that, Orion woke up, and was caught up on everything, and helped the people who saved us make an interdimensional gateway so we could get here."
"Wow, that's...a lot." Anna stated, taking in what she said. "You said he went back to the Enchanted Realm? How many times has he gone there before?"
"Three times. This was my fourth." Orion replied, sitting on the couch after a long month of being in the Enchanted Realm. "But this was the longest I've been in there."
"And, you're native to the Enchanted Realm?" Anna asked, pointing to Moonlight. Moonlight nodded.
"I came along because I wanted to explore Orion's world. And, so I could, well, be with him. To help him with his issues, I mean." Moonlight explained.
"Well, I'm basically Orion's therapist." Anna stated.
"That's true." Orion said with his head laid back. "Anna's my therapist."
"Well, I'm his co-therapist, then."
"I'm not sure that's even a thing." Orion looked up.
"Well, it is now." Moonlight stated.
"Going back to the other three times in the Enchanted Realm, could you maybe tell me about those other adventures?" Anna asked, turning back to Moonlight. Moonlight nodded, and began to recount the three adventures that Orion had in the Enchanted Realm, from the first to the last. Orion walked around the apartment, remembering everything that happened before all of this. Nearly an hour passed, and Orion was about to walk out of the apartment complex. "Where are you going?" Anna asked him.
"To make up for lost time." Orion responded simply. He looked back at Anna and Moonlight, who had already become friends in the half-hour that they knew each other. "Wanna join me?"
"Sure. I could use a tour of your dimension after all." Moonlight piped in.
"Means I'm going too." Anna added. Orion opened the door, stepping out into the hallway with a soft smirk on his face.
Orion finally felt at peace. He no longer felt anxious, or fearful. He felt confident now. He felt stronger. Among everything that happened, Orion could only think one thing, I'm home.
