This day wasn't going well, at all.
Lucas was still flirting with him and getting up in his space, however, he only did it when Gally wasn't nearby, which thankfully wasn't often so (M/n) was able to handle that and relax for the majority of the morning and afternoon.
But now, in the evening, as the Builders had the rest of the day off, the Keepers were pulled away by Alby to discuss future stuff they would have to work on and maintain, and with nothing else to do, (M/n) went to help over with the Garden, getting to spend some time with Luth, a Glader he had seen around but never got the time to talk to, apparently Luth was bad at talking so he would rather avoid social interaction, which (M/n) could relate to, making them work away in complete silence, relishing in the background noises from the Glade.
It was nice while it lasted, honestly.
"Yeah, he went easy on the girl," (M/n)'s body tensed and he clenched his jaw when he heard yet another comment about the fight he had with Gally the night of the bonfire, he was simply walking out of the Homestead after putting down the baskets with vegetables on the kitchen counter, minding his own business. (M/n) knew damn well that Gally didn't hold back against him, otherwise he would've won, but there wasn't anything he could do to prove that what they were saying was a lie, having already realized that words wouldn't cut it, so he remained silent.
He was mostly pissed and mad about being looked down for being biologically female, and not for simply being a "weak guy" which he knew he wasn't, but who was gonna get that through their skulls? It was pointless and a waste of time.
And another problem was making itself known. Lucas was walking his way, a wide smile on his face. (M/n) let out a deep sigh and looked away, trying to pretend he didn't see the black-haired male heading his way, but it was useless.
Now he was walking behind him while (M/n) made his way back to the Garden, wanting to finish what he was working on.
"I can't believe Gally would go easy on her just because she's not a guy, talk about favoritism," releasing a breathy and quiet growl, (M/n) walked past the duo coming up in front of him, more Gladers being slintheads, and he purposefully collided shoulders with one of them.
They had been the ones bothering him the most, gossiping with others about the whole fight ordeal, and they did a good job at getting on his last nerve.
These comments had gotten worse when they realized Gally was out of commission, noticing (M/n) no longer had a bodyguard, so they took advantage of that, seeing him working in the open just made it even easier. Perhaps Billy could've done something, if he wasn't constantly getting distracted by his friends messing around and joking, making him lose track of where (M/n) was, so by now he had become an easy target for all the klunkheads around.
The guy he collided with, Gale, groaned at the pain on his shoulder, turning around to face (M/n)'s retreating frame, "Watch where the shuck you're going, blind whore!"
Wow, how creative, (M/n) had lost count of how many times he had been called "whore" or "slut" throughout the evening since apparently no one had another insult to say to him.
"That is not how you treat a lady, apologize!" And of course, Lucas had to open his big mouth. (M/n) turned around, and saw how Gale scoffed, being followed by his buddy, Matt.
"Why should I apologize to that, hm?" Before Lucas could say anything that would most likely start an argument, or worse, a fight, (M/n) grabbed his wrist and pulled him away from them. Gale shouted something at him, but he completely ignored it, and made his way to the Garden.
