As Morgan made his way back to the Hufflepuff table, he couldn't help but replay the events of the battle in his mind. He felt a mix of relief and sorrow, grateful that he had saved Hermione but haunted by the losses they had suffered.

Sitting down at the table, his Hufflepuff friends greeted him warmly, sensing the weight on his shoulders. They asked about the battle, wanting to know every detail, and Morgan shared what he could, careful not to reveal too much.

As they finished their meal, Morgan couldn't shake off the feeling that he needed to see Hermione again. He knew she was with her friends, but something inside him compelled him to be there for her.

Taking a deep breath, he rose from his seat and made his way over to the Gryffindor table. Natsai and Poppy looked up in surprise as he approached.

"Hey, Hermione," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. "I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Three Broomsticks with me and our friends? Maybe we can all unwind together."

Hermione smiled, gratitude shining in her eyes. "That sounds great, Morgan. I could use a distraction. Thank you."

With their friends by their side, Hermione and Morgan ventured out of the castle, leaving behind the remnants of the battle. As they walked, their conversation turned from the events of the day to lighter topics, their laughter filling the air.

At the Three Broomsticks, they found a cozy corner and settled in, enjoying the company of their friends. The atmosphere was light-hearted, a welcome respite from the darkness they had witnessed.

As the night wore on, Hermione and Morgan found themselves lost in conversation, their connection deepening with every word. They discovered shared interests, dreams, and fears, realizing that they had more in common than they had initially thought.

The hours slipped away, and eventually, it was time to return to the castle. As they said their goodbyes, Hermione turned to Morgan, her expression soft.

"Thank you, Morgan, for everything," she said, her voice filled with sincerity. "You've been there for me when I needed it the most. I'm grateful to have you as a friend."

Morgan's heart skipped a beat, but he managed a smile. "The feeling is mutual, Hermione. Take care of yourself, and remember that I'm here for you, always."

With a final wave, they parted ways, promising to see each other again soon. As Morgan walked back to the Hufflepuff common room, a sense of hope filled his heart. Perhaps, amidst the darkness, a new chapter was beginning for both of them.
