Chapter 39: A Sudden Fall

As Dudley was cleared to leave the hospital, the Dursleys hurriedly gathered their belongings, their focus solely on his well-being. The doctors and nurses, however, emphasized the need for future Hermione to remain under medical care.

Despite the gravity of Hermione's injuries, the Dursleys appeared indifferent and detached, their attention solely on Dudley. Harry couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration and disappointment at their lack of concern for Hermione's condition.

"I can't believe they expect us to stay longer for her," Aunt Petunia complained, her voice filled with annoyance.

"Yeah, she's not even family," Uncle Vernon added dismissively.

Harry's face hardened, his disappointment morphing into determination. He knew he couldn't rely on the Dursleys to look out for Hermione. With a resolute tone, he replied, "I'll make sure she's taken care of. She needs help, and I won't abandon her."

With that, the Dursleys bid a quick goodbye and left the hospital, leaving Harry alone with his commitment to support Hermione through her recovery.
