As Hermione limped away, her focus solely on finding a safe place to tend to her injuries, the Dursleys stood in silence, watching her retreat.

Petunia's voice was filled with a mix of lingering curiosity and resentment. "What was she doing here? And why does she work at Hogwarts?"

Vernon, his face etched with disapproval, responded with a dismissive huff. "I don't know, and frankly, I don't care. As long as she's gone, that's all that matters."

Dudley, who had been observing the events with a newfound sense of curiosity, spoke up tentatively. "But Dad, why was she running away? Do you think she was in trouble?"

Vernon shrugged, his tone dismissive. "Trouble or not, it's none of our concern. We've wasted enough time on her. Let's get back inside."

With that, the Dursleys turned away from the scene, leaving behind unanswered questions and a lingering sense of bewilderment.
