Dream waited for what felt like an hour outside the captains quarters.. where was George..?
"God.." he rested his hand on his shoulder.

George was supposed to be out here helping..? Where is he..?

Dream sighed, making his way towards the door..
"How long does it take for someone to change.." he whispered under his breath.

He carefully opened the door, glancing around the room.

It was quiet and dark- did George blow out the candles..?

Dream fully walked into the room, closing the door behind him.

-

"George..?" Dream walked into his room, glancing around.
"Where did you-" he stumbled over a bag.

He quickly looked down, seeing it was filled with most of George's belongings.

Dreams eyes widened when he heard shuffling up ahead.
"George..?" He looked over, seeing the brunette crouching down- seemingly tying his shoe.

"I'm busy." George spoke in a firm tone, tightly tying his boots.
"Sorry-." He huffed.

Dream tilted his head to the side, clearly confused.
"Well- it's been over an hour and you haven't gotten on deck yet.." he looked around the room.
"I just got worried."

"I changed my mind, I'm not helping a bunch of pirates..." George spoke in a cold tone, not baring a glance towards Dream.

Dream looked a little shocked at George's tone.
"Well- you are one of those pirates too...?" He spoke in a calming tone.

"No.. im not..." George stood up, tapping his feet on the ground to see if the boots were tight enough.
"I changed my mind." He had a soft tone..

Dream couldn't understand why George seemed so upset..?
"George- what's going on with you..?" He spoke quietly.
"Are you alrig-"

He tried resting his hands on George's shoulder.. but the brunette lightly slapped his hands away.

"Please don't." George whispered quietly, turning away from Dream.
"And stop acting like this." He sighed.

Dreams feathered ears pinned back.. backing his hand away.
"Hey- how about we sit down at talk for a bi-" he was cut off when something firm was shoved in his chest.

"I don't want to hear anymore please" George glared up at dream.. having a hurt expression.
"I'd like to just relax in silence."

Dream stumbled to grab the item that was shoved in his chest- growing offended of George's words.
"What the fuck is up with you?!" He snapped softly.

"I want to go home." George scrunched his nose.. glaring at Dream.
"I don't want to stay here with a monster like you." He snapped.

Dream felt his heart shatter.
"Jesus fucking Christ- what is wrong?!" He scoffed softly.
"Was this because of earlier?! I told you I'll wait for an ans-"

"My answer is No." George shoved his way past dream, picking up his bag.
"And take your stupid bracelet." He struggled to take it off before throwing it too the ground.
"I'll be below deck organizing my things."

-

Dream watched George storm out of the room.. feeling nothing but heart break..
"What.....?" He stared down at the bracelet on the floor.

He didn't understand what changed... they were so happy not even an hour ago..

Dream looked down at his chest.. seeing his damaged journal.
"What the-" he lifted it up.. soon seeing the pages.

His gaze sorrowed as he read through them... oh.. these..

Dream slowly closed the journal, placing it on his desk.
"Damn it.." he never wanted to see what he wrote again..

He looked back over his shoulder... he had to go talk things out.

.: George POV :.

George made his way into the empty room, tossing his bag towards the corner.
"I just needed to calm down, I'm getting too mad over nothing." He hit his forehead.

He slowly felt tears roll down his face.. why did words in a book bother him so much.

George knew it was too good to be true... why would his life suddenly turn around for the better..?

He was about to close the door- but before he did someone grabbed it.

"Hold on-" dream quickly spoke up.
"I need to talk to you.." he carefully pushed the door open.

"I really.. don't want to talk to you." George took a deep breath, shaking his head.
"Please leave." He huffed.

"Please George, let me talk to you." Dream slid his mask onto his head, closing the door behind him:
"I know you saw what a written but-"

"I don't care Dream, not for any word you say." George pointed at dreams chest firmly,
"I trusted you so many fucking times and for what?! You to trick me yet again!"

"No!" Dream shook his head.
"I do really like you George! I wrote those chapters weeks ago!" He had a sincere look.

"But it was still your plan all along." George back up from Dream.
"And I can't help but be concerned." He hugged himself.
"You didn't even glance at me before.."

Dreams gaze sorrowed... staring at George.

"You hated me for being human..." George whispered under his breath..
"But as soon as I changed into- this.... That's when you cared- that's when you noticed me!" He looked over at dreams as tears rolled down his face.

Dream had no words... is that was George thought..?

"I cared for you.. so much- but I knew.. I fucking knew." George turned his back to Dream.
"Is what too god to be true." He stared forward.

Dream accepted defeat right there and then...
"George..." his feathered ears pinned down.
"That's not true.."

"All you cared about was black mailing my father." George scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Not even an I love you.. or how about a date-" he waved his hands in the air briefly.
"No... instead I got a.. 'you aren't important enough right now.."

Dream felt his wings droop down a tad bit... staring at George.

George took a deep breath, shaking his head side to side.
"I don't want you in my life anymore, I'm going back home."

"But they've treated you so poorly!? Why go back to them?!" Dream spoke up, snapping a tad bit... this is the second time George has wanted to return this week?!

"And what's so different that you haven't done?!" George stared back at Dream, raising his voice.
"Don't think I've forgotten Dream." He scrunched his nose.. lowering his sleeves to reveal the patches on his shoulder.

Dreams eyes widened.. feeling nothing but guilt and shame.
"George-" he tried walking over.

"All because I wanted to be your damn friend." George tear'd up, gritting his teeth.
"What a joke.." he backed away from dream.

Dream didn't say a word.. he just hugged George tightly.
"I'm sorry.." he whispered softly.

George didn't dare hug Dream back.
"It's your fault... all of this is your fault." He choked on his sobs.
"I'm stuck as a monster because of you."

Dream held George's tightly.
"I know.." he whispered quietly.. nodding his head.
"I'm sorry.. I'm truly sorry."

George began to cry.. resting his head into dreams shoulder.

"I do care George... I always have." Dream wrapped his wings around George.
"I never wanted to admit it because you were a human.." he took a deep breath.
"Let me tell you a story.... Okay..?"
