Harry

Mrs. Weasley is escorting us down Diagon Alley when she stops.

"Have you gotten your animals yet?" she asks the exchange students.  They shake their heads. She leads us into the animal shop and the exchange students spread out. Rachel stares at a Kneazle. After a moment, she puts her hand out. The Kneazle sniffs it, and then licks. So it trusts her. Kneazles are excellent judges of character. Maybe Hermione is right and I am imagining it. You know, my scar hasn't hurt at all today.

"Hey, there, magnificent creature," Rachel murmurs to the Kneazle. "What's your name?" Her hands roam until she finds a collar. "Lori?  You wanna come with me? You count as a cat, right?" The Kneazle purrs in response.

"Hey, Rae, what'd you find?" Garfield asks, walking up beside her, an owl resting on his hand.

"My animal. You're getting an owl?" Rachel looks at him.

"Yep. I've decided to name him Gold."

"Really? Gold? Why?" Rachel asks.

"Because I said so. What's yours named?"

"Lori."

"Why?"

"She's already named."

"She's still a kitten, you could probably change it."

"You're still a kitten, could I change your name?" Rachel retorts. Garfield rolls his eyes and smirks.

"You know it, mama," he says. Rachel scoffs and rolls her eyes as she picks up the baby Kneazle.

"Friend Rav-Rachel! Friend Garfield!" Kori yells, running over with a white cat.

"Kori, I assume you have your pet?" Rachel deadpans.

"Yes, Rachel. This is Snow. What is yours?" Kori asks.

"Lori."

"Gold."

"Dick has his too! It's an owl! I don't think he's named it though," Kori says.

"Tell him if it shits on my stuff, I'm killing him. That goes for you too, Garfield," Rachel adds. Gar rolls his eyes.

"Don't worry, Gold is perfectly potty trained," Gar assures her.

"Yeah, like that seagull was?"

"Okay, I deserve that. That was a stupid move," Gar admits.

"You think? What told you that? The fact that the kitchen was covered in bird shit?"

"Is it just me or did you just start cursing a lot lately?" Garfield teases. Rachel rolls her eyes.

"I'm going to curse you with an actual spell if you don't stop pestering me," she warns. Garfield laughs.

"I got mine! Karen's going to love it!" Victor says, holding a toad in his giant hand.

"Really? Will she?" Gar asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Yep."

"Load of crap. She hates toads," Rachel tells him.

"How do you know that?"

"No reason. Just an educated guess."

"All of your guesses are educated. Why do you assume she hates toads?"

"Nothing I would like to share with the class."

"You're really annoying sometimes, you know that, right?" Victor asks.

"So I've been told. At least I'm not Garfield's level."

"Hey! What did I do?"

"You know what you did," she answers, glaring. He withers under her gaze. Honestly, they should just get together already. It's like Ron and Hermione. Like, get done with it already!
