As Friday's chapter fades to an end, Saturday morning arrives and Ky picks up Mavis for breakfast. Jax recommended him a place that served fantastic waffles and souffles that Ky thought Mavis would like. After she safely buckled her seatbelt in his car, he complimented her saying that he thought she looked extremely pretty when she was dressed casually and she blushed shyly.
They arrive at the cafe and Mavis is excited to see that Ky has brought her to a place that was famous for their waffles.
"I love waffles so much! Thank you for bringing me here." She thanked him excitedly like a child and Ky smiled.
"You like waffles?" he asks her again to confirm what he had heard.
"Yes! They're my favourite. I love pastries in general." Mavis shares with him her interests.
"I see, I'll remember that," he mutters softly under his breath as he nods his head.
When they were done, Mavis asked him where they were going. She buckles her seatbelt as Ky starts driving off. Mavis remembered that Ky mentioned there was a nice and quiet place where they could work.
"We're going to my house," he says nonchalantly.
"Your house?!" she was caught off guard when she heard that.
"Yeah, is something wrong? I have a workspace that's big enough to fit at least twenty people in there." Ky explains as his expressions doesn't change at all.
"Uh, no. Not a problem," she says as she leans back on the car seat.
When they arrive at Ky's house, he pulls up to the front of his porch and Mavis's jaw hits the ground.
"This is your house?!" she looks up at his house and Ky soon walks over to open the car door for her. He puts his hand out to help her get out of the car and takes her bag from the seat.
"Yeah, come on," Ky says as he locks his car and unlocks his house doors with a security key code.
Mavis was afraid to walk in but she couldn't help gasping at how big and impressive his house was. "I mean, what was expecting? He owns an island," she tells herself in her mind. Ky walks down the stairs of his house as Mavis follows closely behind him.
He enters a room and flicks the light switch on to reveal a stunning workspace environment that looks like the library scene from a modern-day Beauty and the Beast movie. There were possible shelves filled with hundreds of books and Ky set her things down along with his at a table in the centre of the room."I usually host private meetings here with other business owners and occasionally Elias Corp's head staff members," he explains to her as he pulls out a chair for her to sit.
"Thank you," she says as she shyly turns away from him after sitting down.
"Just be yourself. Make yourself at home." Ky tells her as he takes a seat opposite her.
Mavis smiles awkwardly at him and shakes his head with a smile. Ky sets up his laptop and begins typing away on his keyboard. Seeing how quickly Ky had shifted his focus to his work, she decided to take out her laptop and begin writing her report.
She wrote a few lines and looked up from her screen to see Ky who had a serious expression on his face when he worked.
"He is very handsome..." she thought to herself as she was beginning to get sidetracked by his visuals.
Ky takes notice from the corners of his eyes that Mavis is staring at him and decides to look up at her to tease her. She quickly turns away as her cheeks start to turn red.
"She's adorable." he thought to himself.
The room was completely silent as the sound came from their laptop's keyboard when they typed. Mavis found this silence a little difficult to focus on her work as it was too quiet and she began to lose her focus. Ky realises the annoyed look on her face and suddenly stands up from his seat as Mavis watches him walk from across the table to stand behind her.
