Med Bay (4)

Part 4 

My heart races as we head closer to med bay. The smell of alcohol fills my nose and I turn around terrified, but Price is holding my hand. He stops walking and kneels in front of me as he holds both of my hands,

"It's going to be okay, I won't let them hurt ya, okay? If you want a break or stop, just tell me and ill have them stop, okay kiddo"

I blink back the tears trying to escape as I nod my head slowly. I hug Price's arm tighter. He looks down at me and strokes my hair gently. Price leads me to a bed along a wall and lifts me up onto it. I don't let go of his arm terrified of what's about to happen.

"It's alright kiddo, they're just going to look at ya injures."

Price waves a nurse over and I can see her eyes fill with shock as she gets a better view of me.

"Um...what can I help you with Captain Price?" She doesn't take her eyes of me as I stare at prices arm.

"She's got some wounds that need to be seen."

The nurse walks in front of me and kneels down as I stare at the ground. Price moves back making me let go of his arm. She looks up into my eyes and gently places a hand on my thigh, I flinch and push her hand away with my eyes filling with terror.

"It's okay I won't hurt you, I promise. My names Kelly, what's yours?"

I shrug not wanting to talk to her as I fidget with my tail.

" That's okay. I hear you have some wounds that need looked at. Do you mind showing them to me?"

I hesitate before I lift my pant legs, wincing in pain, revealing welts, cuts, bruises, and burn marks. Kelly stands up, her eyes filled with remorse,

"Do they hurt, sweetheart?"

I nod my head yes as I put my legs on the table and lean my back against the wall behind me.

"Is this all of them, sweetie?"

My head shakes no as I pull my sleeves up on my sweat shirt. The only difference with my arms is that there's needle marks running up my arms. I hear Kelly gasp as she sees the injures on my frail body.

"Please say that is all of them" she whispers as she covers her mouth with her hands.

Of course, my head shakes no again as I reach towards my jacket to pull it up, but Kelly stops me by placing her hands over mine. I flinch and pull my hands away instinctively. She looks over at price as she pulls her hands away,

"Captain, she's not going to be able to wear that when i'm treating her. Would you be willing to leave for a second so she can change into a gown?"

Price nods before he walks over to me,

"I'm just going to be behind this curtain for a second."

"Okay" I say in a shaky voice.

Kelly pulls a light blue curtain around us, making a small room. She grabs a hospital gown, the same color as the curtain, from a drawer.

"Do you need any help putting this on?" Kelly asks as she hands me the gown. Shaking my head no, I jump down from the table and wait for her to turn around. I change into the itchy gown and sit back on the bed. Kelly turns around and peaks her head out from the curtain,

"You can come back in"

Price walks in and sits on a chair in the corner of the makeshift hospital room. He watches me as the nurse gets some supplies. Nurse Kelly moves a stool next to the bed before she sits on it and sets a metal tray on the bed full of supplies. I pull my legs up and hug them as she goes to grab my leg.
