Chapter 08

Takigawa Ren loves his little brother, Takigawa Masaki, very much.

Before his Father remarried to Masaki's mother, Ren was an only child. He always wanted a sibling, be it a brother or a sister. Especially little sister. Therefore, as soon as his Father said he would remarry and his future wife had a son, who was two years younger than him, Ren was very happy. Even though Masaki didn't talk much, at least the boy wanted to chat with him. Since then, Ren has always been looking for ways to get closer to Masaki and find out everything that his little brother likes.

But, Ren had never once seen Masaki like this. It was as if the man did not want to lose what he had just found. Ren was sure that this was the first time Masaki had met Andini, even though they had met once when they were little. Unlike himself, who really knows Andini and Akira. Masaki looks jealous and doesn't like it when he sees him and Andini chatting and looking close. This is interesting. So far, Ren had never seen Masaki interested in any woman, even though the man had dated several times.

Meanwhile, Andini tries to escape from Masaki. The girl struggled, then looked up to give Masaki a sharp gaze. However, Masaki wasn't intimidated at all. The man actually forced his way into Andini's world through her eyes.

"Answer me," Masaki said in a firm tone. "How close are you to my older brother, Takigawa Ren?"

Andini snorted and decided not to waste any more energy just to free herself from Masaki.

"Hey, Takigawa-san," said Andini. The girl called Masaki by his last name again. This made Masaki freeze and widen his eyes. He didn't like it when Andini called him by his last name while the girl called her older brother by his first name. Andini seemed to create a very long distance from him. "You don't need to know how close I am to Ren Oniichan. It's none of your business. You're just his half-brother, right? Even though you are Ren Oniichan's little brother by blood, you don't have the right to know everything about Ren Oniichan. What are you, a brocon?"

"What?" Masaki blinked.

"Now, let go of me, Takigawa-san. It's at school. I don't want to get in trouble because they think I'm dating an adult man like you. I—"

"Masaki."

Andini was the one blinking now. The girl frowned.

"Call me Masaki and I will let you go," said Masaki in a firm tone. "I don't like you calling me by my last name. It's like you're building a wall in front of me."

"I am indeed building a wall as high as possible in front of you. I told you so, didn't I? I hate you."

"Then I'll destroy that damn wall," Masaki growled. He released Andini. "Did you think I would just sit back and let you hate me? Do you think I will give up on getting you to lift your bow and love Kyudo once again?"

Andini froze. The girl then took a deep breath and massaged her temples. She felt really tired, for some reason.

"Takigawa-san—"

"Masaki," said Masaki, interrupting Andini's words.

"Fine! Masaki," Andini finally relented. If she continued arguing with Masaki over a trivial matter, the girl felt like she might go crazy. "I told you not to talk about Kyudo in front of me anymore. I will never do Kyudo again. I hate Kyudo."

"You love Kyudo."

"I hate it!" shouted Andini. Masaki was silent while Ren, who had been hiding to peek at Masaki and Andini, jumped in surprise. "I really hate it! Until when are you going to keep saying nonsense like that? Do you want to make me suffer?! What have I done to you that makes you have the heart to torture me like this?!"

"Aren't you the one torturing yourself, Andini?" Masaki looked at Andini with a firm gaze. "You know you still want Kyudo, you still love it, you miss it, but you're fooling yourself, deceiving yourself by saying you hate it. You let your Father control your mind to hate Kyudo!"

"SHUT UP!" shouted Andini. The girl covered her ears and shook her head firmly. "Shut up! I don't want to hear anything else!"

Ren felt like he couldn't let this continue. He had to separate Masaki and Andini. The man didn't know what happened between his little brother and Andini but he knew it was something very complicated. Ren took a step, intending to approach Masaki and Andini, but stopped when he saw Fujiwara Shu coming from a different direction.

"Andini-chan!"

Masaki and Andini turned their heads around. Andini immediately turned her head and looked down. Her hands clenched tightly at her sides. Meanwhile, Masaki snorted softly and crossed his arms.

"What are you doing here, Fujiwara-san?" asked Masaki in a firm tone.

Shu looked at Masaki and raised an eyebrow. "It's time to go home. I can come here to meet Andini-chan. And, I came here because I wanted to discuss something with Andini-chan."

"You can not."

It wasn't just Shu who was shocked, Andini was too. The two teenagers looked at Masaki with confused eyes.

"You can't take Andini anywhere."

"What?" Shu protested. The expression on his face showed that he didn't like Masaki's words and attitude just now. "You have no right to forbid me from talking to Andini."

"If I say no, then you can't bring Andini with you, Fujiwara-san."

"Andini is not your girlfriend, Takigawa-san!" Shu exclaimed in an annoyed tone. He clenched both his hands into fists. "You've only known Andini-chan in the last few days while I've known her since childhood!"

"So what? I just don't like seeing Andini close to other men. Am I wrong if I feel like that?" challenged Masaki.

"You've completely lost your mind," Shu growled. "I—"

However, Masaki didn't want to hear Shu's words anymore. The man immediately made a decision. He carried Andini on his shoulders, like someone lifting a sack of rice or like someone kidnapping their target. Andini and Shu were wide-eyed, as was Ren, who was watching from his place. The man laughed when he saw Andini struggling and Masaki walking at a brisk pace toward the Kazemai High School dojo.

"Hey, Masaki, put me down! You shameless man! Damn kidnapper! Put me down!" exclaimed Andini. Shu, who had managed to recover from his shock, hurriedly ran and entered the Kazemai High School dojo.

"It's a kidnapping, Masaki," chuckled Ren, when Masaki passed him. "Andini-chan can report you to the police."

"Shut up," Masaki grumbled. "I won't let this girl go with another man and that goes for you too, Ren!"

Ren laughed again. He shook his head in amusement.

"Jealous man," Ren muttered.
