Chapter 06

Masaki straightened his back.

His hands clenched tightly at his sides. His jaw clenched and his teeth gritted. What actually happened in the life of this girl named Ishida Andini? What kind of past did Andini face to destroy the girl like this? Murderer? Masaki even believed that Ishida Andini would not have the heart to kill a mosquito even once.

"Try me." The words finally left Masaki's mouth. His blue eyes glared firmly at Andini, making Andini freeze. The girl couldn't believe her own ears. What had Takigawa Masaki just said to her?

"What do you mean?" asked Andini in a confused tone. She wiped her tears roughly.

"You said that you and Kyudo had killed Ishida Akira," Masaki explained. "You also told me that I should stay away from you because you will definitely make me lose the kyudo that I love so much. So, I challenge you, Ishida Andini. If you are so confident that you can make me lose the kyudo that I love just because I want to know you well and want to be close to you, then do it. I will never lose."

Andini gritted her teeth. This guy has completely lost his mind!

"You—"

"No one can forbid me who I should be friends with, Ishida Andini. Even something that you consider to be a curse within you, which made Ishida Akira die and separate from the kyudo he loved so much. I will make you change your mind. You are a precious girl. You deserve to be happy. Remember that."

After saying that, Takigawa Masaki left Ishida Andini. The girl leaned her back against the wall and lowered her head. She cried again. She sobbed violently. Her heart was pounding really fast. No one had ever said anything like this to her before. All this time, she had always kept everything in her heart. This was the first time Ishida Andini could say all the things that made her unable to breathe.

"I hate you," Andini muttered. The girl bit her lip until it bled but she didn't care. "Why did you make me like this, Takigawa Masaki? I hate you."

Fujiwara Shu was confused because Takigawa Masaki returned to the living room alone without Ishida Andini.

The guy couldn't control himself. His eyes searched for Andini but couldn't find the girl. He wanted to follow Andini but this was the girl's house and it felt rude if Shu had to search Andini's house. He didn't want to be seen as a guy who lacked manners.

"Hmm? Masaki-san, where is Andini-chan?" Kurosaki Inga asked. Shu almost hugged the girl because she had asked Masaki about Andini's whereabouts.

"Bathroom," Masaki answered. Shu raised an eyebrow. Why does Takigawa Masaki look upset? Was that guy arguing with Ishida Andini?

"Why do you look upset?" Minato asked. This time, Shu really wanted to hug Minato. Everything he wanted to ask had already been asked by his friends first.

"I'm not upset," Masaki grumbled. Of course, that is a lie. The man was very upset. How could Ishida Andini think that she was a curse that had made Ishida Akira die and would make him suffer too? "I must go home. Are you guys going to stay here?"

"Yes," nodded Inga. "I will stay here. If Masaki-san and the others want to go home, you can do so. I will accompany Andini-chan until her parents return."

Masaki nodded and stood up from the sofa. When the guy was about to leave the living room, a husband and wife appeared in front of him. Masaki blinked and bowed in greeting, as did Inga and the others. They looked at each other and immediately understood that the husband and wife were Ishida Andini's parents.

"Are you Andini's friends?" asked the short-haired beauty. "Ah, I'm Andini's Mother. Nice to meet you all and thanks for being good friends to my daughter. I'm not a real Japanese. I am Indonesian. So, Andini also has Indonesian citizenship like me. And, this is my husband, Andini's Father. He is a real Japanese."

"Ah, I'm Takigawa Masaki," said Masaki, introducing himself. "I'm the kyudo coach at Kazemai High School. They are members of the kyudo club and over there is the great kyudoka nicknamed the Prince of Kirisaki High School."

Hearing Takigawa Masaki's explanation, Ishida Andini's parents froze. They were wide-eyed. It was then, that Ishida Andini appeared. The girl was wide-eyed and immediately approached her parents.

"Otousan, Okaasan, it's not what you think. I don't—"

"Are you still doing kyudo, Andini?!" shouted her Father. The old man, who was still handsome, looked at Andini with a sharp gaze. His loud voice made Andini flinch, and so did Masaki and the others. "Have you forgotten everything that happened to Akira?! You forgot how much he suffered because of Kyudo?! Do you want to take everything Akira ever got because of Kyudo when you killed Akira?!"

Those words made Shu and Inga widen their eyes. They looked at each other and immediately approached Andini's parents.

"Oji-san, what do you mean by Akira is dead?" asked Fujiwara Shu in a firm tone.

"Akira was long dead!" the man exclaimed. "And, all because of Kyudo, also because of this girl," he pointed at Andini. "So, I hope you all leave here and never again talk about Kyudo in front of me or in front of Andini ever again. Andini will never do kyudo again! She can't do it again, not when Akira is dead because of her! She can't be happy because of kyudo when she made Akira die because of kyudo!"

After saying that, the man went into the room and closed the door with a slam. Andini's Mother remained silent and followed her husband into the room. The atmosphere between Andini and the others became awkward.

"Andini," Shu called. The man approached Andini and stood before her. He looked at Andini with a worried look. "Are you okay? Is everything Oji-san said true? Why didn't you tell me that Akira had died?"

Andini was silent. Her light brown eyes stared blankly. Those eyes looked dead. Takigawa Masaki, who noticed this, immediately took action. He approached Andini and held her arm.

"You don't have to hear all those hurtful words," said Masaki in a firm tone. "You—"

"Get out."

Andini's voice was so cold, it made Masaki and Shu freeze.

"I'm tired. I want to take a rest. I'm sorry I couldn't walk you out." Andini walked slowly toward the stairs to go up to her room which was on the second floor. She no longer looked down at her friends, even though she knew they were all looking at her. Especially Takigawa Masaki. Andini stopped at the last step and looked down one last time. Her eyes looked very cold and empty. "Don't ever mention kyudo in front of me again. I hate Kyudo and I hate all of you too." The girl's eyes now turned to Masaki's blue eyes. "Especially you. I really hate you, Takigawa Masaki."
