•Merry Christmas! I couldn't find a song to fit, so I just decided to attach a sweet song for the couple and chapter overall, Anchor by Mindy Gledhill. I hope you all enjoyed this little story, this is the end of it I think, but I think I'll probably write more with Grell. My Black Butler hyperfixation has been awakened- I love Grell Sutcliff! By the way, if it's not obvious already, my story doesn't include anything from Book Of Atlantic or after. I have read the manga, but I'm not completely caught up.•

It seemed like each and every day Y/N's belly grew more and more, for a time she would wear Grell's clothes, till giving in and buying maternity wear even though she really didn't need it just yet. The redhead all too eager to help find comfortable yet stylish dresses and other sorts of clothes. Red, taupe and (favorite color) seemed to become the theme for everything in their home now.

Baby toys, clothes, accessories and necessities as well. The pair could get some well enough in the reaper realm, but because Shinigami children were so rare, unfortunately some things had to be bought in the human realm. The two always went with twined fingers, snuggled close, both because they were just that in sync and in case of any bigoted mortals who happened to stick in their noses.

"Ma'am, you and your husband would love-"

"Wife." Y/N corrected without care, as always, for possible negative consequences. "Yes?"

The human clerk blinked a few times, letting her eyes roam Grell for a moment, but quickly recovered. "Wife. The two of you would love this bassinet here."

"Ooh, it is rather adorable!" Grell, letting the accidental misgendering go the best she could since the woman had been courteous, looked it over with interest

It was a black, wooden bassinet with a frilly red hood to block out light. There were attachments on the side, suggesting you could link it to the side of your bed.

"If you remove these bars here, it rocks as well." The woman demonstrated, undoing the attachments and giving it a soft nudge.

Looking to the smaller woman, Grell asked. "What do you think?"

Y/N looked it over for a moment, idly playing with a strand of her wife's hair. "Would you be able to attach two of these to the side of a bed? Or would they be able to attach to a couch, one on each side?"

"Twins?" She guessed correctly and nodded. "Yes, you can."

Suddenly, the taller woman nudged at one with her shoe, scrutinizing it. "How sturdy are these...?"

"One moment." The clerk seemed prepared for the question and turned, opening a box off to the side of the crib displays. With deliberate slowness, she hefted two sacks that were vaguely infant shaped into her arms, though seemed unsteady.

The wives watched as the woman, refusing help from Grell when offered, set up two bassinets with the fake babies in them on a couch they had out. Sure enough, they held sturdy. When taken off and rocked, they did as well.

"The wood doesn't seem to easily splinter, either." Y/N approved, carefully squatting to examine them closer.

Grell wailed dramatically, reaching for her arms. "Don't do that!"

"I'm fine, I promise!" She laughed, patting her hand.

She disagreed, a hint of worry in her voice. "You are five months and-"

"Alright," seeing she was genuinely getting distraught Y/N nodded and allowed her wife to help her up. After losing their first pregnancy, and how it effected especially Grell, she wouldn't push anything. "It's okay, sweet girl."
