PROFESSOR UMBRIDGE HAD set another educational decree, banning all student organizations. She threatened expulsion if any student did not comply. Caroline grew more angered, because Umbridge was taking every single thing away from the students. She was starting to consider asking Remus to take her home, but she knew she couldn't leave Harry alone.
Caroline sat in the common room a few afternoons later, doing her Care of Magical Creatures homework. She was the only one of the four friends who had managed to fit the course into her schedule, as it was one of her favorites. Harry was beside her, playing with Marie and watching Caroline work. "Harry, you're staring at me, and it's making it hard for me to focus." Caroline said, her eyes scanning her textbook.
Harry smiled, stroking Marie's white fur. "I'm flustering you?" he said, and Caroline rolled her eyes.
"You're not flustering me, you're annoying me." Caroline pushed her curls from her face, dipping her quill into a container of ink to write her assignment on a piece of parchment.
Placing Marie beside him, Harry pulled out the photograph Sirius gave him of the original Order of the Phoenix. He had been meaning to show Caroline. "Look." Harry shifted closer to Caroline, placing the photo on her textbook.
Caroline sighed, placing her quill on the table and picking up the photo. "What is this?" she asked, recognizing her parents, Lily, James, Sirius and Remus.
"The first Order," Harry whispered, pointing at all the people. "Neville's parents, Hagrid, Professor Mcgonagall, my parents, Padfoot, Remus, Pettigrew, Moody, Delilah and Hector." Harry listed the people the two knew, and Caroline smiled.
Hector had his hand on Delilah's back, holding her close to him. He had chesnut brown hair and extraordinarily warm brown eyes. Delilah stood beside Lily, her coiled hair resting above her shoulders. She smiled, because she wanted to fight. Remus stood behind Lily and Delilah, his best friends. Sirius was next to him, who stood with James. They were a family. It was in that photo that Harry looked so much like James, and Caroline a spitting image of her mother. "They looked so young." Caroline said.
"They were. When Padfoot showed me the photo, I honestly thought you were Delilah. She was beautiful." Harry said, his gaze on Caroline.
The girl nodded, unaware of the meaning behind Harry's statement. "She was. Shame she killed herself," Caroline handed the photo back to Harry and collected her school materials, placing them back in her bag. "I have to see Madam Pomfrey." she said as she stood, making her way over to the portrait hole.
Before she could get there, the portrait swung open and Neville rushed in, out of breath. "Harry! Caroline! You need to come with me!" Neville said as Hermione and Ron arrived.
Without wasting any time, the four followed after Neville as he led to the room he had discovered, running into Fred and George on the way. "You've done it, Neville. You've found the Room of Requirement." Hermione said in awe as they stepped into the large room.
"The what?" Ron questioned.
"The Room of Requirment. It only appears when a person really needs it, and it's always equipped to help." Caroline explained with a hint of a smile on her face.
The room began filling with light. "So, say you really needed the toilet..." Ron said, and Caroline rolled her eyes from where she stood next to George.
