HARRY AND CAROLINE walked Ron through the castle towards Professor Slughorn's office. Harry knocked on the door as Caroline held Ron still, keeping him from moving. "I'm sorry, sir, I wouldn't bother you if it weren't absolutely essential." Harry said once Slughorn opened the door.

"Where's Romilda?" Ron asked dreamily, Caroline stepping on his foot to keep him from wandering off again.

"What's the matter with Wembley?" Slughorn asked, eyeing Ron with a peculiar look in his eyes.

Caroline gripped Ron's shoulder. "Very powerful love potion." she said quietly.

Slughorn sighed. "Very well, better bring him in," he opened the door wider, and Caroline forced Ron to walk inside. "I would've thought you could whip up a remedy for this in no time, Harry." Slughorn spoke as he gathered materials.

"I thought this called for more practised hands, sir." Harry and Caroline stood together as Ron wandered through the office.

Ron gravitated towards Slughorn, dropping his head on the professor's arm. "Hello, darling. Fancy a drink?" Ron asked, Caroline's eyes widening at the scene.

"Perhaps you're right." Slughorn agreed, and Caroline pulled Ron off of Slughorn, Harry helping him walk over to the sofas in the room.

"I'm  sorry, by the way, professor, about earlier today. Our misunderstanding." Harry spoke, his girlfriend nodding at him. If he wanted to get the memory, he really had to suck up to Slughorn even more than he already was.

Slughorn prepared a remedy for Ron as Caroline pushed Ron into the sofa, forcing him to stay put. "No, not at all. All water under the bridge, you know. Correct?" Slughorn said, Harry walking up to him.

"I expect you're tired of it after all these years. All the questions about Voldemort." Harry said.

"Don't use that name." Slughorn said harshly.

"Ronald, get down," Caroline said, exasperated. Ron had pushed her away and gravitated towards the opposing sofa, holding a pillow. Caroline watched with a sigh as he sat on top of the sofa, proceeding to fall backwards towards the ground. Her and Harry pushed him into the sofa once more. "Stay here." Caroline ordered.

"Here, old boy. Bottoms up." Slughorn offered Ron a chalice.

With his smile still on his face, Ron took the cup. "What's this?" he questioned.

"Tonic, for the nerves." Slugorn lied, and Ron drank from the cup, his dreamy smile fading from his face.

"What happened to me?" Ron asked in his normal voice, and Caroline smiled.

        "Love potion." Harry answered.

Slughorn took the cup. "Bloody strong one at that." the professor walked away.
