a/n: probably gonna be a longish chapter😘

it was the day of the reunion and courtney was anxious for the day ahead. she slowly woke up and walked over to the bathroom to go brush her teeth and her hair.
i wonder what everyone is up to these days.
she went back into her room and opened her curtains to be greeted with a foggy morning and a rain cloud approaching.
she sat at her desk and started to write in her diary.

after writing for a bit to calm herself, she took a long, warm shower and got dressed to go meet up with everyone. no matter how cold it was, she managed to sweat in nervousness as she was worried what everyone would think of her, and how everyone else would act.

courtney is putting her shoes on when she notices her phone buzzes in her pocket.
once she ties her shoes she stands up and takes her phone out to notice that the photo falls out too. she leans down and picks it up, worried that this may happen again and she'd lose it, so she opens her phone case and places it inside.

yep! just leaving, see you in 10!!

courtney grabbed her purse and started walking downstairs to her car. she had to search up the directions to bridgette house because in all these years she had forgotten.

after driving for what seemed like forever, courtney slowly unbuckled her seatbelt and took a deep breath before opening the car door. she put on a smile and started slowly walking towards the front door, then knocking three times.

"courtney!!!" bridgette exclaimed.

courtney simply smiled and held her arms out for a hug.

"i missed you so much! how have you been??" bridgette began questioning courtney, and in response she only gave small, vague answers. the only thing she had on her mind was duncan and if he would show up. she tried to remember the glow in his eyes, the shade of green that he dyed his hair with, the shirts he wore. does he still dye his hair? maybe that would be a good thing. it looked pretty awful.

"uhm, courtney? are you going to say hello?"

bridgette waved her hand in front of courtney's face.

courtney snapped back into reality and realised there was a small group of people standing in front of her.

"hey courtney! i like your jumper." dj begins.
courtney smiled and said thanks. dj hadn't changed that much at all. she had a look around at everyone there and noticed that everyone looked very similar to how they used to, just aged up (obviously). she wanted to ask if duncan was coming, but was too scared that everyone would start asking questions.

*knocking

courtney gulped.
bridgette excuses herself and walks towards the door. courtney looks away from the door and around the house. she noticed how well kept it was, and how nicely decorated it was.
there were three surfboards on a wall, and a few pictures of bridgette surfing. she tried to distract herself from thinking about duncan, but she couldn't.

"hey bridgette! this place looks so different!"

courtney's heart dropped.
she had completely forgotten that gwen could come. and she did.
courtney turned around to see what gwen looked like, and when gwen noticed courtney her smile started dropping. she quickly put one back on because the others were looking. gwen looked very similar, keeping her style the same apart from having much rarer, thinner highlights instead of the chunky ones she used to have. does this mean duncan will come? he probably would if gwen is here.
after a few minutes of everyone exchanging compliments and hellos, courtney excused herself to look for geoff. she knew that he would probably know if duncan was coming or not, because they were friends. she stood up from their sofa and walked towards the kitchen.

"hey geoff!" the brunette smiles.

geoff turns around and his face lights up.

"courtney!" he walks towards her and givers her a one arm hug.

"how have you been?" he follows after the hug.

"i've been.. good!" courtney replies. "i wanted to ask you if you knew if duncan was coming. no specific reason. just... wondering." courtney tried to say nonchalantly.

geoff smirked. "sure, sure.." he paused for a moment before saying, "but i'm not sure. bridgette set up this whole thing. you could ask her." he said, all while having that grin on his face.

courtney rolled her eyes but smiled. "thanks."
