"I want to become a Devil Hunter."

(Y/n) repeated the same phrase in front of Makima. Makima looked a little surprised but she quickly changed her expression into her normal one.

"Good. I knew you would say that," Makima said as she pulled out a few documents from her drawer.

After filling up the documents, Makima organized the paper.

"Thank you. You're now a part of us. You'll get your Devil Hunter ID card soon. And I put you under Aki-kun's care."

"Huh?" Aki, who was behind (Y/n), furrowed his eyebrows.

"Makima-san, I can't-"

"Aki-kun. I trust you."

Aki nodded hesitantly. He had to follow Makima's orders.

"Tama-chan, you are going to stay at Aki-kun's for a while. I need to make sure you're not doing anything bad. And I need you to be safe."

"You don't trust me?" (Y/n) asked reluctantly. She did not want to live with Aki. They just met and they didn't know each other. Besides the fact that they do recognize something familiar in each other.

"I do, but I want you to be under someone's care since you're new. And that someone is Aki-kun," Makima replied as she looked at Aki.

(Y/n) breathed in and slightly nodded.

"WHAT THE F*CK IS MAKIMA-SAN-"

"Tama, shut up."

(Y/n) and Aki were waiting for a taxi to arrive so that they could get (Y/n)'s supplies and needs from her cabin.

"Why do I have to live with you," (Y/n) whined as she tapped her foot.

"Makima-san's orders. We have no choice," Aki said calmly. But he also didn't want her to live with him.

The taxi arrived and they drove on for a few minutes. After arriving, (Y/n) left to get her stuff. Aki stayed in the taxi.

Aki's phone rang. It was Makima.

"Aki-kun, is Tama-chan with you right now?"

"No, she's not here right now. Why do you ask?"

"I feel like Tama-chan is hiding something. So I need you to look after her. That's also the reason I want you to be with her."

"Hiding something?"

"We don't know how and where she got her powers from. I know from her reaction that she somewhat has a connection with the Thunder Devil. I can't think of any other reasons. She might be contracted with the Thunder Devil, or she might be the Thuder Devil herself. Contact me if you find something out."

"Yes, ma'am. But she doesn't kill humans so she can't possibly be the Thunder Devil herself."

"Oh? What do you mean?"

"She attacked me when I first met her and she missed every single attack. She doesn't have the courage to kill humans."

"...I see. Don't try to rush and ask her about her powers. It might trigger her. Please be careful. "

"Thank you, I will."

Aki hung up his phone and at the exact same moment, (Y/n) came back with a big bag on her shoulder.

"I'm back," (Y/n) mumbled as she opened the car door.

They drove back to Aki's house. The sun was already starting to set.
