The girl and Aki walked towards the Devil Hunter's HQ. They were a good distance away.
Aki suddenly opened his mouth to speak. "What's your name?"
"Huh?" The girl looked up.
"Your name."
"...Tama." The girl used her fake name she uses sometimes to go on private missions. She doesn't like telling anyone her real name, which is (Y/n).
"Tama, I see." Aki became quiet again.
They walked silently towards the HQ.
Aki knocked on Makima's office door, (Y/n) right behind him.
He opened the door after he heard her voice.
Aki bowed a little, Makima's expression unchanging.
"About the mission..." Aki started.
Makima looked over his shoulder. "Her?"
"Yes," Aki stepped aside to show (Y/n) but she followed Aki's movement, hiding from Makima.
Aki sighed. He grabbed (Y/n)'s hair and pulled her towards him. (Y/n) gritted her teeth from the pain of her scalp being pulled and tried to pull Aki's hand from her hair.
"This girl is killing devils," Aki stated as (Y/n) violently thrashed her limps here and there. "Calm down," Aki mumbled.
"I see," Makima stood up from her seat and walked closer. She came so close to (Y/n) that their noses were almost touching.
(Y/n) felt uncomfortable under Makima's stare. A trickle of sweat ran down her cheek.
"What's your name?" Makima asked.
"....Tama." (Y/n) answered suspiciously.
"You smell different. Special," Makima said as she pulled her face away from (Y/n), not breaking eye contact. (Y/n) let out a breath she didn't know was holding.
"Is it true that you kill devils?" Makima asked.
(Y/n) nodded silently.
"Are you in any kind of group or organization?"
(Y/n) shook her head.
"You kill devils indivisually?"
(Y/n) nodded.
"Why?"
(Y/n) hesitantly opened her mouth to speak. "I need the money to live."
Makima raised her eyebrows slightly. "Oh? So you go on private missions to earn money?"
(Y/n) nodded.
Makima raised the corners of her mouth.
"How about this," Makima said. "Do you happen to know the Thunder Devil Incident?"
(Y/n) stiffened up, hearing about her best friend, the one and only Thunder Devil.
"No. Why?" (Y/n) answered blankly.
Makima breathed in. "Well, reports say that you use thunder to kill devils. Are you related to any shape or form to the Thunder Devil?"
(Y/n) gulped. "No."
Makima looked straight into (Y/n)'s eyes for a few seconds and broke eye contact.
"What is the Thunde Devil Incident?" Aki, who was standing beside (Y/n) and listening to the whole conversation, asked.
