Everything made sense now. 

Why they got along so fast.

Why they felt comfortable with each other.

Why they were opening up to each other.

Why they trusted each other.

Why they felt they want to be together.

They were twins.

Long lost twins.

You stared at the confused Aki, holding back tears pooling in the corner of your eyes.

"Aki..." Your hands that were on Aki's face slowly dropped to his torso, bringing him into a tight hug.

"What the f*ck, (Y/n) what happened to you-" Aki was more confused now from the sudden action and tried to get out of your hug but quit when he heard you speak.

"Aki, it's me."

"Hayakawa (Y/n)."

A long silence filled the empty hallway as the two slowly started to sink in all the information and realize their situation.

"What, no, stop this (Y/n). I-" Aki didn't believe that his sister was alive at first, but it had come to him as he rethought about the moments. You were indeed, his sister.

"Are you really (Y/n)?" Aki mumbled out just barely enough for you to hear.

"Yeah, I'm the one who went to buy Taiyo's medicine, remember?"

"...How could I forget," Aki plopped his head on your shoulder, making sure you were real, that he was not dreaming. 

You felt droplets of something wet on your shoulders. You smiled.

"You crying?" You asked.

"...No," Aki said in a weak voice.

You knew that Aki remains strong and calm around people. He tries not to show his weak side. It was just his personality. He hates it when people see his helpless side. 

Aki is actually fragile and emotional, although he doesn't act like one. The side only you know.

Aki's arms that were dangling on his sides moved towards your body and sloppily held on to the back of your clothes.

You closed your eyes, not knowing what to think. It was all too stunning for you, and your head was about to sink from the truth.

The two stayed close for a few minutes. Since it was a big surprise for the two, they still couldn't believe it.  

Each of you thought the other was dead. But they were alive. It was a miracle. They had found a new hope to live.

The sun shined into the empty hallways, bringing warmth inside the building.

The two went home and they talked non-stop. They needed to catch up on everything. You especially needed to know how Aki ended up alive and what exactly happened to your family.

But...

"I thought you were dead because when I came back home our house was gone."

"No, I thought YOU were dead because you went out onto the city and the city was blown to pieces."
