It's again so chilly outside. Just like that day when I almost got caught staring at Yash. The cup of coffee warmed my palms.

Staring outside the window, I was waiting to get one glimpse of him. Usually he is here by this time or maybe I'm too early today.

I took a sip of my coffee. It burned the tip of my tongue, I quickly closed my eyes shut and placed the cup back on table.

"Looks like you are waiting for your café buddy."

Amy spoke from behind me. Holding an empty tray in her hands.

"Yeah, maybe he won't be coming here today."

I wanted to see him today. Because I won't be able to come here for a few days. I badly wished to spend time with him before that but seems like it's not in today's destiny for me.

"Oh, honey it's okay. You know how he is always stressed about his work. But still he makes time for you. We open up at 6 am but he... waits for you outside at 5:45 am everyday, so that you don't have to wait for him."

He does? But why would you do that? It's so cold early in the morning. But as long as I've known him now, he has a very sweet soul. I love wearing those hair accessories he has gifted me.

Amy patted me on my shoulder and left. I grazed my thumb over my matching bracelets and a sense of sadness dawned upon me. Just in time, when I was gathering my stuff from the table my eyes fell on the board.

I can leave him a message there! I smile crossed my face, as if sun shined bright to fill me up with hope in that moment. I rushed towards that board and wrote him a quick message.

I couldn't sleep the whole night. I feel restless every moment. Numerous questions are running through my head and they're eating me alive.

I couldn't even muster the courage to face Aashi today. The note I penned for her... still lays in my shirt's pocket. I can't do this. I'm stuck.

On one side there's a woman I have fell in love with and on the other side stands a woman I have no clue about, there stands a promise of my parents, their happiness. They've never asked for anything from me until now.

The traffic light turned green and I heaved a sigh, letting out some of my exhaustion. Although it's not getting any better, I know. I pulled over to the café because there's no way I can go back and face mom and dad either.

I stepped inside and the bells chimed, the noise they make doesn't give me any feeling at all this time. Facing down on the floor I swept my hand through my hair.

"Welcome Yash!"

I heard a cheerful voice and looked up to find Amy standing in front of me with an unrecognizable look on her face.

"Thank you, Amy."

"You look tired, all good?"

Her gaze didn't falter but mine? Oh they're back to the floor. I answered her question with a simple nod of my head.

"It's okay, you can go and take a seat. For a change let's not get you your regular strong coffee. You need something else today."
