"Seventh-grader. Sounds a lot better
than sixth-grader." Greg says getting out of the car.
"This is a Greg thing. l don't see why l had to come." Rodrick says sighing.
"Because Rodrick you're apart of the Heffley family." Susan says holding Manny.
"Yeah that, and we already paid for your ticket." Frank says.

"Hi!" "Rowley!" "Greg!" Rodrick rolls his eyes in annoyance.
"Sup guys." Anya says walking up to them making the two seventh graders hug the girl making her chuckle.
"Scram guys leave her alone." Rodrick says making the two go skate.
"What are you doing here?" Rodrick asks her smiling.
"Here to watch someone fall." Anya says making them laugh.
"Anya? I missed you!" Susan says hugging her sons best friend.
"You saw me yesterday Susan." Anya says chuckling.
"Well you're practically family sweetie." Susan says making her smile.
"Yaya." Manny says doing grabby hands towards Anya.
"Hey there lil guy." Anya says taking him from Susan's hands.
"How come you're so good with kids?" Rodricks asks her as he eats pizza.
"Because as heartless I look I actually enjoy and like some kids." Anya says smiling.
"Let's go watch scary movies and practice our music." Rodrick says making Anya smirk.
Anya gives Manny back to Frank and walks with Rodrick to Greg and Rowley.

Her, Rodrick, and his band mates walk up to the kids.
"Hey, Greg! Can you break a leg or something so we can leave?" Rodrick asks making Anya slap his shoulder.
"Ow." He says as he rubs his shoulder. "Don't be like that." She tells him making him roll his eyes.
The two teens see that Greg is too occupied looking at a pretty blond hair girl his age.
"Oh! That'll never happen. Not a chance. There's no way that girl will ever talk to you." Rodrick tells Greg.
"Don't listen to him Greg just be yourself, and if she doesn't like that then she's not the one." Anya says ruffling the boys hair.
"Don't give him false hopes." Rodrick leans down lightly whispering in her ear making chills go down her spine.
"Yeah, well, l just talked to her and we'll probably skate later." Greg says making Anya smile and Rodrick raise an eyebrow.
"Really? Okay. Well, you see that clock? They play a slow song at the top of every hour for couples skate. lf you're so confident, ask her to skate." Rodrick tells Greg confusing Anya.
"Maybe l will." Greg says.
"What you waiting for, wimp? You the man!" Rodrick tells him.
"They play slow dance now?" Anya asks her best friend.
Rodrick looks at her and looks around spotting the food court. "Hey wanna get food it's on me." Rodrick says quickly scared to see an angry Anya.
"Duhh." Anya say grabbing his wrist pulling him towards the food.

"Look he's gonna ask her." Anya says shaking Rodrick roughly.
"Hold on!" Rodrick says running away making her confused.
"I swear I like a very confusing guy." Anya says to herself sighing as she watches Rodrick run through the crowd.
"Stop! Enough of that total lameness!
Who's ready to rock? Yeah!" The guy says putting on heavy metal music.
"Oh no." Anya says as she sees Greg and Rowley struggle in the middle of the rough skaters.
"Are you kidding me." She says as she looks for a pair of skates. She then sees a girl who had them on a seat. Anya smiles and goes over.
"Sorry need these!" She says taking the skates as she sits on the floor and quickly tries to put them on to help the poor kids.
All of a sudden the music stops making Anya look at the top seeing Susan and a laughing Rodrick.
"Greg Heffley! This is your mother. Everything is going to be okay. Stay where you are, and your father is going to come rescue you. I repeat, everything is going to be okay. Okay, here he comes. Here comes Frank. I see him. He's on his way." Susan says.
Anya looks at Rodrick laughing as she slowly gets up from the floor crossing her arms.
Rodricks face immediately drops when he makes eye contact with his best friend making him smile and wave nervously at her.
Greg walks past her making her look away from Rodrick. "Hey don't beat yourself down kid." Anya says ruffling Greg's hair.
"Hey Romeo how'd it go with the new girl." Rodrick asks.
Greg glares at him and goes after him only for Rodrick to move out of the way making Greg fall face flat to a cake.
Rodrick laughs at the scene making Anya shake her head disapproval.
"You ruined my birthday!... Jerk"

Anya and the Heffley family walk toward the vehicle.
"You can ride home with us Anya." Frank says smiling.
"Thanks." She says as they get closer to the van.
Anya slaps Rodricks head making him groan in pain. "Hey you hit hard.".
"You deserved it." She says getting in the back seat as he sits next to her.
Few minutes later Rodrick is fast asleep on the girls shoulder making her smile.
Greg gives her a piece of paper making her raise an eyebrow at the boy.
"Just tell him you like him already and get together so he won't have to kill me every second."
Anya reads and shakes her head at Greg making him groan sadly.
Anya looks down at the sleeping Rodrick making her sigh.
'If only it were that easy' she thinks to herself as she too falls asleep laying her head on his.
