Chapter 5

-Sunday morning church-

Everyone gets down from the car minus Anya and Manny. Rodrick puts the seat down letting Anya out. "Thanks." She says smiling.

"No problemo." He says with mischief in his eyes. "Okay what have you done now?" She says knowing that glint in his eyes.

"Poopy." Manny says pointing to Greg's pants.

"Huh?" He says confused as he looks at his butt as it's covered in chocolate.

"Greg! lt looks like he has a candy bar on there." Susan says.

"Manny!" Greg exclaims as Rodrick looks up smirking as Anya looks at his hand hearing him crumble up a pice of candy wrapper.

"Frank you're gonna have to do something." Susan says.

"Yeah, I'll get the rag." Frank says.

Anya jabs Rodrick with her elbow on his side making him groan in pain.

"You okay Rodrick?" Susan ask her son making him fake cough. "Yeah just allergies." He says clearing his throat.

"Dad, stop it!" Greg says as Frank tried to rub off the chocolate.

"Hold still! All right, let me see. You're fine. Can't even tell." Frank says as Greg look to the church gasping quietly and hides behind his mother quickly seeing Holly Hills.

"l'm not going in with a poop stain on my pants." Greg says.

"Okay, well, you can't skip church." Susan says shaking his head.

"No, l'm not going in like this." He says embarrassed.

"Fine." Susan says.

The Heffley family with Greg wearing his mother's sweater around his waist, and Anya walk into the church as Rodrick walks beside Anya.

"Go." Frank whispered to Rodrick who stopped walking.

They all walked to an isle. Rodrick let Anya go first. They all were standing minus Rodrick making Anya tap him as he get up quickly.

"Please be seated." The pastor says making all sit down minus Rodrick as he looks around confused making Anya pull him down.

"Let me just say how gratifying it is to see so many smiling faces here today." The pastor says as Anya looks at Greg looking at the girl from the roller rink making her smile.

"Okay, we're up." Susan whispered to Frank.

"Come on ! We're up!" Frank whisper shouted to his kids specifically.

"But everyone will see the sweater." Greg says.

"People are looking, okay? So come on. Let's go. Come on." Frank says as they all get up.

They all start making their way to the pastor as others do too.

"Can you stop being such a butt hole to your brother?" Anya whispers to Rodrick.

"Butt hole?" Rodrick says confused as he chuckles.

"We're in church." She says as she walks up to Greg.

"Hey Greg it's okay. It's probably not going as your best day. How bout I buy you something you like this week?" She says trying to cheer him up.

"Yeah I'd like that." He says smiling.

"Sounds good to me." She says ruffling his hair.

Rodrick on the other hand had other plans for his little brother.
