"We wish the King will be sitting on the throne again soon with his great health," the Inazuma prince wished as Aether walked pass the big entrance. Aether and Dainsleif wished them great farewells before entering their carriage to return to their homeland immediately.

"Can't this thing move faster, Dain?" Aether restlessly asking him. It was evident on his face that he was stunned with the news he received about the king, his father.

Dainsleif took his hands. "We tried to move as fast as we can, Aether. Please take a rest before we're arriving-"

"How am I supposed to take a rest while knowing my father is dying?" his voice raised as he slapped off his knight's hands from him. He sighed and leaned his back on the seat and looked outside the window. Their carriage movement were faster than it should be, as demanded. What will happened if the king breathes his last breath? Is he ready to take the throne on his shoulder right away? Is he ready to lead his people? What will happened to his sister? What will happened to him? What will happened to Dainsleif?

He was so lost in his anxious thought when suddenly their carriage pulled into an emergency stop. Aether almost hit the wall in front of him because of the momentum but Dainsleif was fast enough to catch him. Dainsleif's keen eyes and sense caught glimpse of shadows near their carriages. Surrounded by the tall trees in the middle of the forest, it was indeed a perfect time to ambush. "Your royal highness, please take cover and do not go out from this carriage," he ordered the prince while covering up his small body with his cloak. "I'll be right back," he said as he opened the door behind him before drawing his sword.

A loud scream can be heard from the front of their carriage as the horses started to panic. Dainsleif moved his legs quickly to the front carriage and found the headless coachman sitting down on the coach sit. Mountain of blood spit out from the headless neck.

"Draw your swords out and protect the prince!" He quickly ordered his men with his raised voice. Without a second thought, the knights quickly had their weapons in their hand and made a circle form around Aether's carriage to protect him. Few others started to move around the nearest trees, searching for the ambushers.

Dainsleif walked behind the trees when he heard sword clanking near their spot. Quickly turned his heels, he senses a metal sword coming towards him. With his keen eyes and reflects, he dodged the attack and turned to find a tall, black-haired man with a hooded cloak on. His metal sword was thrown on the ground, making clanking noise. Dainsleif observed the man quickly. The man in front of him had silver armor on his arms. His face we covered with a black mask, but Dainsleif could see his bright blue eyes. The knight was familiar with those eyes as there were the same eyes as his. The long star-shaped pupil eyes that his lover admired so much.

Dainsleif drew his sword again to launch his attack when within a blink of an eye, the man disappeared from his sight. Looking around the area, the man was totally fled away from the battlefield.

The clinking sound of swords can be heard clearly when he arrived at their carriages. There he saw his men trying their best to fight these other cloaked men as well as protecting the carriage where their prince was kept save. Dainsleif quickly moved his legs and swung his sword to the enemy in front of him before kicking him to the ground. Pulling back his sword from the dead body, his ran forward and jumped high onto the air before hitting two enemies under him with his sword. One of the enemies tried to plunge his sharp long dagger near his head but Dainsleif was faster and fisted the man's face with his elbow while plunged his sword to the other man. With the help from one of his men, the enemy collapsed right in front of him. It wasn't a big group of their enemy, but it managed to bring down one of his men and it pissed him off.

He turned his head on the tall trees and found the masked man he met earlier standing still on the thin branch with another masked blond-haired man behind him. Dainsleif didn't know their purpose for the ambush as they didn't take anything precious from them. Dainsleif noticed all the masked men on the trees glared at him while one of them pointing towards the prince's carriage.

The masked man Dainslief had a fight with, where he assumed that was their leader, said nothing but only a whistle, commanding their men to stop the ambush and retreat. With that sound of whistling, they quickly retreat and vanish from their sight as if they disappeared into the thin air. Dainsleif didn't break their eye contact while everything was going on until the two men disappeared into the forest. Some of his knights wanted to follow the enemy but Dainsleif stopped them and command them to be in guard and quickly return to their castle.

Before they continue their journey home, Dainsleif quickly return to his carriage to check on the prince only to find the prince was trembling in fear, not knowing what was happening. Dainsleif sighed and closed the door.
