The sun was high on the sky as it shone brightly upon the beautiful white clouds, creating soft shadows on the ground. Carriages were parked in front of the castle's main entrance. The butlers and guards were carefully loading in the luggage into the carriages. They were informed that their prince will be off to the Inazuma for a few days but the luggage was like a month-worth of luggage. But they don't complain about it.

"Your carriage is ready, my prince,"

Aether turned to the voice and pouted. He turned to his father and sister. "I'll be off now,"

Lumine quickly pulled him into a tight embrace. "Please take care on your way there. Write me a letter once your arrived,"

"I will. I promise,"

"Come here, Aether," King Aleph asked. Lumine let go her embrace and let Aether accepted their father's embrace. "I'm so glad that you accepted this proposal," he said. "Please, take care of yourself. Make friend with your fiancé,"

Aether faked his smile. "This is the least I could do to fulfil my duty, father. And I will," he simply replied. "Take care of father for me, would you?" the prince asked the knight who was standing beside his sister.

"I will, my prince," Kaeya bowed.

Aether turned around and met Dainsleif's blue eyes. "We will get going now, everyone. Goodbye," he said as he walked out from the entrance with his knight by his side.

"Let's run away,"

Dainsleif frowned at his lover's words. He stared into his teary eyes. "Aether," he sighed. "I know how frustrated you are- so do I- but, as much I'd love the idea, I just- we know that's impossible"

"So you would just let me go, Dain? You don't even care if I marry someone else? Is that it? What? You don't even want me an-"

Before he could finish, he felt Dainsleif's soft lips brushing on him, silenced him. He wanted to push him away but Dainsleif hand somehow found its way to the back of his neck, pulling him closer into a deep kiss. He sighed. "Aether... please..."

Aether sniffled and pulled him for another kiss. Tears wetted Dainsleif's clothes as he held the prince tightly in his embrace.

"Let's just go and meet the princess. It's your father's wish after all," the knight reassured him as he kissed the top of his head.

As Dainsleif walked away from the prince's carriage after helping him to get inside, Aether stopped him from going to his own carriage. Aether turned his head to the head butler of the castle, Charles, who handled this journey.

"I want Dainsleif to travel with me," Aether told Charles. Everyone eyes both Aether and Dainsleif and knowing what the old butler would say, Aether continued "I need to discuss our tentative and things we need to do once we arrived Inazuma. It's important".

Charles frowned but nodded, allowing Dainsleif to join the prince into the carriage. He took a seat apposite the prince and once the door was closed, Dainsleif let out a small chuckle. "Discuss our tentative, eh? Pretty sure I did brief everything to you yesterday," he teased the prince.

Aether's cheeks formed a light blush. "I'm gonna get bored if I be in here alone,"

"You have books"

"I can't read while the carriage is moving,"

"Hmmm..." Dainsleif smirked. Soon enough, Charles announced their journey and their carriages started to move.

Looking out the window, Aether sighed. This going to be a terrible journey. So, he thought. While he was spacing outside the window, looking out the beautiful cold blue sky, Dainsleif suddenly slid off the windows' curtains, blocking his views. He quickly turned to Dainsleif to ask what reason he did that only to find Dainsleif was staring at him with his teasing eyes.

Smirking, Dainsleif leaned closer to him. "What's the point of me travelling with you if you don't even look at me?"

Blood rushed to Aether's face.

Tapping on his laps, he ordered, "come here, Aether,"
